Blog: Evenflo Victory Jogging Travel System – it’s never too early to teach them about an active lifestyle!

In my opinion travel systems are the best options on the market.  They’re convenient, easy to use, versatile and most importantly – let you keep your baby sleeping.

Have you ever had a child fall asleep in the car and experienced those few brief moments of blissful silence, only to have it ruined when you get to wherever it is your going and attempt to transition your child from their car seat to a stroller without waking them? Have you ever thought to yourself, “Do I really need groceries that badly? I don’t need wake him to take him into the grocery store.”

With a travel system you don’t have to ask these questions. You can simply transition the car seat from the car to the stroller with a simple click. And without waking up your baby you’re on your way to run errands, or enjoy coffee with friends.

The Evenflo Victory Jogging Travel System includes the Evenflo Embrace 35/PRO Rear-facing Child Restraint System and the Evenflo Victory Stroller.

Evenflo Victory Travel System

To fully appreciate the versatility of this travel system, here are a few features that the Embrace 35/PRO Rear-facing Child Restraint System and the Victory stroller offer:

Embrace 35/PRO Rear-facing Child Restraint System:

  • Rated for children 4 – 35lbs (1.8 – 15.8 kg) and 17 – 30 inches (43 – 76 cm)
  • Lightweight
  • Convenience base and non-convenience base installation options
  • Three harness positions that grows with your child
  • Weather canopy
  • Easy to clean nylon material

Victory Stroller:

  • Large weather canopy
  • Parent’s console
  • Child’s tray
  • 3-point and 5-point harness options that grow with your child
  • Easy to clean material
  • Large under-seat storage
  • Front swivel wheel with locking option for jogging

A bit more on a few of my favourite features:

The ability to use the car seat with or without the convenience base is a major plus, saving both time and money. There is no need to buy an extra base or switch the base from one vehicle to another, with the option to use the car seat without the base, you always know you have a safe option for transporting your child in any vehicle at any time.

Parent console and child’s tray included! This may seem like a minor detail but a lot of stroller systems do not include these accessories, they must be bought separately. Having them included for no extra cost was a nice surprise!

When used as a travel system, the weather canopy’s of both the car seat and stroller come together to provide full coverage from the elements. Again, this is a bonus as it saves you from purchasing an extra weather shield to protect your child.

Easy fold and storage. Simply pull the locking ring and pull tab and this stroller folds up quickly and compactly.

It’s a jogging stroller! A travel system that is also a jogging stroller is a rarity. A lot of the time, those who wish to jog with their children end up purchasing a jogging stroller over and above their everyday stroller. This system allows you to eliminate that cost and have an all-in-one stroller system that covers all your bases.

A few points to keep in mind:

Do not use the stroller for jogging when using the Embrace car seat in tandem with the stroller to create a travel system.

While the car seat attaches to the child tray and there is an additional strap to secure the car seat to the stroller for the travel system, the security strap isn’t the strongest hold which allows the car seat to bounce around quite easily. Additionally, as there is only a safety strap on one side the car seat also tilts to the side of the security strap. Take extra care when maneuvering over uneven areas as to not cause excessive bouncing and instability.

After using this system for quite some time for anything from going to the grocery store, to jogging through the Simcoe trail system I would recommend this system for individuals who are looking for a travel system to use for moderate actives such as running errands, or enjoying walks, and for those who consider themselves “light” joggers when the child was old enough to use the stroller without the Embrace car seat.

Separately, the Embrace car seat and Victory stroller are great options, easy to use and my son seemed quite comfortable in them both. I enjoyed using them, and the jogging stroller gave me an easy excuse to get outside and get active with my son. However, combined in the travel system, the car seat could use a bit more stability.

Overall, the Evenflo Victory Jogging Travel System is a great bang for your buck. It’s multi-purpose functioning and ability to grow with your child will no doubt keep you and your little one happy while you’re on the go!
