Also known as convertible car seats, infant/child car seats can be used either rear or forward facing and are designed to be used from the infant to the toddler years. Don’t feel like you have to rush to forward facing – it’s best to keep baby in a rear-facing seat for as long as he/she meets the height and weight requirements.
