My only gripe would be that the packaging be friendlier if one wanted to place the figures back for display. Fortunately for me this would not be the case as I would be introducing my two year old daughter to ET, Elliot and Gerdie. She immediately welcomed all three of them to her other toys and they have not left her side. The paints on the figures were also movie accurate and brightly colored. However, once opened, the toys are incredibly durable and well-made. The packaging was very easy to open.She wanted to save the packaging so that she could use it kinda like a little play set. She sat for along time just playing &amp; re-enacting parts of the movie! The quality is stellar &amp; the details are spot on, down to E.T.&rsquo;s lit up finger! Just loved that it had the 3 main characters &amp; it&rsquo;s so cute! Sure wish they would&rsquo;ve had these when I was a kid! Also love the size which will make it easier to take on the go whenever she wants! What's great about Little People in general is that they can all be played with together. So, we loved combining these with our farm and train and bus sets. All of them are obviously great for small hands. And my toddler and older boys all love to play with them. What's really great about the ET set is not only the tie-in to the movie, but the little details. I love that Elliot has a flashlight - just that detail sets my son off into imaginative play going off on an adventure. I also love ET - he is unique and adds a whole different, more creative and imaginative fantasy element than the typical people and animal characters we have. Of course, they are durable and well-made. My kiddos loved all things Little People when they were little and now my grandchildren continue to play with/love the farm sets, fire trucks, buses, etc. I have yet to find a Little People play set that disappoints...and this is no exception. It is made with the attention to detail that those familiar with Little People have come to expect. Examples: E.T.&rsquo;s glowing fingertip and his wrinkles, Elliott&rsquo;s flashlight, and Gertie&rsquo;s hairstyle. Figures are about 2 4 inches tall...perfect size for toddlers to tote around. Extremely durable...Elliott was able to survive a spin in the washing machine with no ill effects. Hard to believe it&rsquo;s been 40 years since the movie was released...one of the sweetest movies ever made. Love that the packaging states the recommended age range is 1-101. How true! This is perfect for the display shelf OR the toy box. What&rsquo;s not to love? It is entirely perfect! Being an 80&rsquo;s child, this trip down nostalgia lane is sweet to share with my daughter. She LOVES the ET ride at the theme park and so when she saw these figures she recognized them instantly. They are wonderfully detailed. ET is adorable with his finger painted to look like it&rsquo;s glowing! Gertie is iconic in her pigtails and overalls with her flower pot. Elliot even has his flashlight to make their way through the forest to free ET. There was one minor melt spot on Elliot&rsquo;s hair, but my daughter didn&rsquo;t notice and it didn&rsquo;t keep her from enjoying her play with them. We had an great time creating a forest for the characters to run about in.
