The set up was super easy and only took a few minutes. Instructions were easy to follow. The humidifier is on the larger side but it does have a large tank with holds 1.5 gallons so you don't have to fill it often. It has both warm and cool mist options which is cool! The warm mist helped warm the room up during the winter while the cool mist helper cool it down during the summer. Really cool feature to have. The humidifier is easy to use. You select whether you want a hot or cold mist, the desired output level (3 options) and you set the humidity percentage. It is very quiet which is ideal. The percentage hasn't gone over 45% even though I set it to 60% so far. Not too sure if it's just the room I have it in, or the device itself. There are some cool features that I haven't seen before. It has two way mist output so you can have the mist blow in 2 directions. It also has a cup for essential oils. It doesn't come in contact with the water so the scent isn't as strong as it could be. You do smell it in the room though! I used the Honeywell Dual Comfort Humidifier in our second floor master bedroom. It provided either a cool mist or warm steam to help us sleep. I didn't wake up with a dry throat or nose from the furnace heat. I tried it on both settings. I like that there's no filter to replace and has a programmable humidistat and digital control panel. I especially liked the dual direction mist outlet that can be adjusted. The water tank has a handle to lift and carry to fill under a tap. It's built with an auto shut off when empty. There's so many features that makes this product a great addition. It will be very useful during sickness. Wow - from the moment that we plugged the Honeywell Dual Comfort Humidifier in, it started to work right away! The mist was just pumping out! How wonderful to have the option for either warm or cool mist! We have the 2-direction mist option on right now and the mist is flowing out very strongly. I like that there is a cup on the top to add essential oils. I love that our house now smells like peppermint! The digital display on the front is very handy, and it is a very easy machine to operate. Having a two-year warranty on it is an added bonus! I have been using Honeywell dual comfort humidifier with fusion mist technology for 8 days. It's been doing the job so far. Pros: *Warm and cool mist, the warm mist takes a bit to kick in but it helps keep the room warm while the cool mist caused the room temperature to drop so we switched back to warm mist. *Easy to fill and has a good grip. *Mist fusion is great option that keeps a very light smell in the room. &bull; No filters, yay! Cons: *Doesn't have a night mood, the LCD screen stays lit and it could be a bit disturbing at night since it's really bright. *Although having a big water tank, it quickly got consumed in less than 24 hours. Since I have been using it for only 8 days, it was easy to clean since no water residue buildup yet. I hope it stays this way after a month or so. I have been using the Honeywell Dual Comfort Humidifier for about a week now. The product is a great, compact size that doesn't take up a lot of room. It has both cool mist and warm steam and there's no filter to worry about. It's very easy to use with the digital display and minimal buttons to worry about. There is a &quot;dual direction mist outlet&quot; which allows you to have the steam/mist going out in different directions so that you can maximize the room coverage. There are 3 moisture output settings that you can choose from, which allows you to alter the amount of steam/mist depending on the level of moisture you want in the air. There is a programmable humidistat and digital control panel that are super easy to use. This humidifier also has an auto shut off when the water tank is empty. As per the packaging, it can run up to 36 hours per filling. This definitely lives up to that as I've only had to refill it a couple of times. There is also an essential oils receptacle so you can add your favourite scent if you'd like. It really elevates the overall experience when you can enjoy a nice, light scent as well. After using this humidifier for about a week, I noticed a difference not just in the air quality of the room, but also physical benefits. My nose was always feeling dry and sore due to winter weather and the heat of the room, or a fire going in the fireplace. And my skin was dry as well. This humidifier really made a difference to both my nose and skin. I could feel it. My nose was so much less dry and sore. And my skin was noticeably less dry than usual for the winter months. I have used mostly the warm steam due to it being winter, but I did try the cool mist option as well to get a feel for it. This was very effective as well and I will likely use this in warmer months. You can use both settings all year round, but I can see how the cool mist would be nice in the hotter months. Overall myself and my family have found this humidifier to work very well. It's not only very easy to use and clean, but it's also very quiet! And when using the warm steam option, the steam does not get hot, which is great if you have pets or children that may walk in front of it etc. It's just a pleasant, warm steam, so I feel that this is safe to use around children and pets (my cats were curious about it and the steam didn't harm them in any way). This is a review of the Honeywell Dual Comfort&trade; Cool Mist + Warm Steam Humidifier. It has an attractive design, and sits nicely on a table or counter, or on a nightstand. The controls are intuitive, and are easy to use. There is an LED colour change to indicate cooling or warming mist. changing the flow rate is easy, as is changing the max humidity. Filling the water reservoir is very easy, especially compared to other humidifiers I have used. The lid for the reservoir is easy to open/shut and is large enough to easily fill. tipping it over to place in the humidifier is not a problem, and there is no risk of leaking or drips. The fact that this has a warming mist is a new experience, but it is quite pleasant, especially when using in a bedroom and you have congestion. I am also impressed with how quiet it actually is, and how much mist is actually produced. Compared to others I have used in the past, it is much better. Being able to change the direction of the mist is helpful. The only cautious note, is that if the mist falls down in front of the humidifier, it can falsely increase the amount of humidity the device detects. If you move it off to the side, it seems to do a better job. I found that 1/2 a tank of water lasts more than a night, depending on if you have it set to High or not (where it will stay on the entire time). Overall I am impressed with the construction, the quietness, and how much mist it does produce. It is nice enough to have in a living room or kitchen, or in a bedroom, where I would suspect it would be more used. After using this humidifier in the day and night, I would recommend the product. It would be good for adults, or families.
