I read about a lot of people buying this crib because it converts to a toddler bed as well as full size bed. I am not disappointed. The rail appears very small when removing from the box. But once on the frame it is proportionate in size to the size of the crib. I think it&rsquo;s designed for the toddler to get used to being in the bed. When my granddaughter slept in it the first night when it was attached to the crib she reached out to touch it. I think it gave her comfort to be in the open bed but still familiar as her closed in crib. As the toddler grows the rail will probably be too low. But by then the toddler knows how to sleep in the bed so they don&rsquo;t roll out. It definitely extends the life of the crib.
