Unfortunately, my second was a very fussy bottle taker and she did not like any of the bottles we used with my first. I was lucky enough to have the Philips bottle on hand to try thanks to being part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I really liked how easy it was to set up the bottle and clean. This bottle came with a slow flow nipple, but we swapped out for the provided newborn flow nipples with our 3 week old. Thus far, our son has mostly been nursing, but we're trying to introduce bottles for when I go back to work in a month. He isn't fond of bottles in general, but has some preferences at this point. The tip of this nipple is great, it's fairly narrow and he definitely prefers this over a wider nipple that we saw in some other brands. The negative though is that it's longer than he prefers, and he doesn't seem to know where to position his mouth, so he comes off and then goes back on repeatedly, getting upset every time he comes off and making feedings take a while. The flow also seems fast for a newborn. He regularly chokes on the milk when using these bottles. We had another brand's anti-colic bottles for our older son, and these Avent bottles and nipples are much easier to clean and assemble. The nipples were soft and durable. My baby took to them right away and did not have a hard time transitioning between breastfeeding and bottle feeding. They are easy to clean and replace. My only con is that the packs do not come with varying nipple flow. My first baby did not latch well, so I pumped exclusively and bottle fed her from the get go. This is my second baby and she was able to breastfeed fine. I tested this product just as she was gearing up to enter daycare. I knew I was going to have to get her used to using a bottle and was having a hard time finding a nipple/bottle that she would like. Tried 4 different brands and none of them worked for her. I didn't have high hopes for this bottle either, but after a few uses, she actually took to it well. It is now the only bottle we pack for her at daycare. She is 3 months old and liked the number 2 flow nipple the best. I remembered the struggle with my other kids when it came to transitioning from breast to bottle. I&rsquo;m glad there&rsquo;s a huge variety available and that I was able to try the new Advent anti- bottle. After using the bottle, I noticed my baby has a preference for a more flattened tip on the nipple. He is also a very fast eater, and although the nipple says newborn, the flow was pretty strong. I really liked the air free vent and how it allows the nipple to be full of milk at the tip. My baby did not experience colic after using the bottle. My baby is almost exclusively breastfed so I feel like it&rsquo;s really hard to find a bottle and nipple that he will take. I love these anti colic nipples because he was extremely colicky when he was born. He still gets gassy from breastfeeding and not having the best latch due to tongue tie issues. Using the newborn nipple flow helped so he didn&rsquo;t gulp down milk and get gassy! I also think the shape helped seal around his mouth better. I will definitely recommend these to my friends and family!
