Looking for a gate that works all over the house? The Safety 1ˢᵗ Lift, Lock and Swing Gate has a unique 2-in-1 design which allows it to be used in either of two modes. You decide which mode best fits your needs: mount it at the top of the stairs for maximum security as a hardware swing gate or place it in your doorway as a pressure-mounted security gate that's easy to move out of the way during periods when it isn't needed. In either mode, the gate helps keep your baby or pet away from out-of-bound areas. The Lift, Lock and Swing gate is 26" tall, and fits openings 28"- 42" wide in Pressure mounted mode, or 30"- 42" in Hardware mounted mode. For easy operation, the gate features a complete-control top handle that lets you lock, release, and adjust as needed.
  • Hardware or pressure installed design for use all over the home
  • Pass-thru swing convenience when hardware mounted, included wall cups with gate stop to prevent swinging over top of stairs
  • Lift-to-release design when pressure mounted
  • For use everywhere in the home: at top and bottom of stairs, hallways and between rooms
  • Pressure mount: 28"-42" wide, 26"high
  • Hardware mount: 30"-42" wide, 26" high
  • TO PREVENT FALLS, NEVER use pressure-mounted gate at top of stairs
  • Perfect for children 6-24 months and great for pets too!

(My mother bought it for me ) I fight with the gate every single time to adjust the to the proper size from one area to the next, and once I can finally get it to adjust the size it over compensates and then locks so I cannot get the right size, and then once I do , it doesn't let me lock it down into place on the wall, I fight with the mechanism of the two buttons. This gate is HORRIBLE , or I just do not know how to use it . I have never had more issues with a baby gate in my ten years of childcare/being a mother</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2022-10-31</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2022-10-31" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="159858382"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Satisfied father</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Hands down one of the best gates on the market.</span> <span itemprop="description">I have no idea what previous reviewers are having issues with. This is my 5th time buying these gates! My 4th child just started walking so it was time for gates. I've used these exact ones for every child. Tried others but they just don't hold up like these do. Install is so easy a child could do it(with supervision) Not only are the gates sturdy and easy to use the company is great too! I called up to order some more of the pieces that attach on the wall so I could use one in multiple spots and the company just sent them out no charge.. completely unexpected but greatly appreciated. They went above and beyond and that's the kind of company I like to do business with. I will say this... There is a trick to these gates when using the hinge and gate stop cups.. you do not extend the gate all the way inside the cup.. just enough so it touches the back of it because when you lock it, it extends just enough to secure itself inside the cup! Even my 6 year old can get in and out by herself after showing her just a single time.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-07-16</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-07-16" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="138071025"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Dad of three</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Best gate I've owned for certain conditions.</span> <span itemprop="description">I agree the locking mechanism is a little tricky but that's the point my toddler cannot get it open. I personally love this gate because I can put it at the end of the hallway and just remove it in the morning but with the hinges it actually holds unlike most pressure held gates. I would not use it as a permanent gate but for something at night to keep the kids out of the kitchen if they wake up and feel like getting into things it's absolutely perfect.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-11-05</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-11-05" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="137012103"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Richard</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">IT WORKED FINE FOR ME.</span> <span itemprop="description">I installed and used this for a year to keep our puppy from using the stairs. Puppies that climb stairs a lot can get hip dysplasia. I removed it when she was old enough to use the stairs, but now I'm installing it again for the new dog. I think the poor reviews are from people who use the temporary &quot;pressure&quot; mount instead of the screwed-in permanent mounts. But, I'm not sure I would want to trust that a toddler couldn't push over the gate at the top of stairs when only held by the pressure pads.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-10-06</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-10-06" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="127294217"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Lynn</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Horrible</span> <span itemprop="description">I am a family childcare provider.
