We received it as a gift from my brother before our daughter was born in August. Silly me, I put it aside and didn't open it up until January when we thought we might start giving her some solids. Well upon opening it we discovered that the blade attachments were faulty and were basically rusted shut which meant they were rusted so much the blade attachment couldn't be spun by the base you attach it to. So after 2 hours my hubby was able to take them apart, clean them out, reattach everything and make them functional. THEN, I realized that they didn't send any gaskets, which are the rubber seal rings so the bases don't leak while you use them. Without the gaskets the unit is useless. Unfortunately since it was a gift we didn't have a receipt and since we asked for the unit from my brother he didn't bother to give us a gift receipt.I contacted the company about the gaskets and they were NO help at all. Stating since I didn't have proof of purchase they wouldn't help me. If things were well cooked it pureed no problem and I liked the storage containers. I've read complaints that it's easy to disturb the date ring but just be mindful opening them, and honestly I've never lost track of the date of one jar out of six, so a rather trivial complaint in my experience, with all due respect to those who found it troublesome. The thing is, my son outgrew the portion size within about a month and very quickly tired of purees and went on to actual solids so in hindsight, my money would have been better spent on the original magic bullet or other higher quality blender or food processor. I was sold on the storage components, and for the length of time your child will eat 2oz portions, it's just not worth it. Buy some tupperware and a good blender. You can customise how pureed you want the food, from chunky, lumpy, to very smooth.
