The colour changing hair and lips amazed my niece, she's played with it non stop and had loads of fun trying different styles. Barbie is on trend at the moment and this head comes complete with rainbow hair which is inclusivity at its finest- well done Mattel! We actually own an older version of this item already and let me just tell you...this one is by far so much better in a lot of ways. I will start with the pros Pros: The Barbie Styling head instantly got the attention of all 3 of my girls. They loved all the accessories and really enjoyed switching the charms out to create different styles. The hair was good quality and did not tangle easily. My 4 year old lost interest after the 1st few days but my 5 and 6 year olds have used it daily for a few weeks now and the hair is still nice and easily brushed through. My oldest 2 really enjoyed doing her makeup and fixing her hair over and over again. My 6 year old was loving that her head moved around. And when they realized the charms for the accessories also changed color in cold water they nearly pierced my ears with delight. As a mother I loved that they could express their creativity with Barbie Styling head and the fact that she is much more sturdy and seems to be made of better quality than our other version. Cons: We only encountered a few things we didnt like about our Barbie Styling Head with the first being its a little messy. Having to use cold water to make her makeup appear while quite fun was also quite messy especially at their ages. Its also worth noting that cold water alone will not get the job done. While the transition was beautiful and quick it did require us to add a few ice cubes to get it to work. The sponge provided was also very flimsy and was torn up and in the garbage in the first hour. We opted to use some eye shadow brushes we had laying around the house ultimately. And as with all kids and tiny pieces the accessories were adorable and the little tray to keep them in was a great thought and helpful the 1st day or two but by the end of the 1st week all those were lost and to never be seen again. That being said my 5 and 6 year olds have not seemed to mind that one bit and continue to play with her daily. We've had our Barbie Styling Head for nearly a month now and have already recommended her to 2 friends. She has been a favorite in our house for weeks and is made of great quality overall.
