He is 4 and he picked it up straight away. He loves how it looks like a open mouth. It&rsquo;s well made and super sturdy. I do wish it came with a couple of balls instead of one. I can adjust the straps to fit his tiny hands but they also easily fit mine and my husbands. I think it&rsquo;s cute that they name it because he was really into that. He knows kids named Finley so it made it even more exciting for him. I think this is a great toy to get the kids outside with and for them to burn off some energy. It is a good way for my wife, daughter, and myself to play catch with our 3 year old without having to worry about something getting knocked over. The paddles themselves are super fun and the ball looks easy to clean. My son has been having a lot of fun with this! The only downsides were that the plastic ridge on the bottom pops open a little on its own and had to be taped down. This is a great way to start teaching your child how to throw and catch a ball. Yes it's not actual catching a ball, but it is helping my son be less afraid when a ball comes at him. This toy is lightweight, and can be utilized in many different places. It's great for the park, beach, or the backyard. As a parent I love that it can be used indoors without causing damage to fragile items in the house. The kids can even play with this in the backseat of the car during road trips. The ball is made from a soft lightweight material, and the shark catcher is made with strong velcro to catch the ball. The catcher has an adjustable velcro band on the back to help hold the catcher. Finley the Shark is cute, and a great toy to keep the kids busy.
