Whatever was inside, they consumed. White powder was all over their mouths and hands by the time I got to them. They loved this toy, but I am afraid I had to throw it away. While this is unfortunate, I love B. We waited a couple of months until she was the suggested 18m age to use. Immediately after opening, the rabbit shaped magnet would not stay in its place. Shortly after, the duck shaped magnet fell apart. Then I noticed a clear gel on my toddler's hands and near her mouth, and it was apparently whatever adhesive was used to keep the magnet part on the duck piece. Hopefully non-toxic! It&rsquo;s a great toy except when you draw on it, the magnetic shards don&rsquo;t show up well at all. It&rsquo;s very faint. The one I had as a child the markings were very dark and easy to see. Both are enjoyed and loved by our kids but the wand inside that erases the doodles/drawings broke on both of them. The slider knob is just too stiff when sliding up and down which causes the wand to break. Also, the writing pad on our older laptrec busted open and is now steadily leaking the fluid inside of it. When I tried to fix the leak it I developed itchy welts anywhere where it touched my skin. This is most disappointing because it renders it to be unsafe for my kids to use. What a waste!! Unlike the erasing wands, that&rsquo;s not something I can fix! So what will this company do to fix this problem for me? Likely not a darn thing. They&rsquo;ll likely give me lip service rather than any real customer service help. If you want to help than send me replacement parts for these toys. Both my sons have had a lot of fun with it. My youngest is having trouble focusing on letter formation. He was finding it boring and taxing, until I decided to use this toy for that purpose. Now tracing is easy, with no shame, no fear of doing it wrong, erasing and doing it again has become so easy and he now loves it. My only problem is that now we have lost the dog, the cat, and the duck. Printing the animal was his reinforcement to trace more letters and numbers. My son is in love with it. After a month or so the eraser knob/bar breaks so it can no longer be used. After three times I just give up on it until they strengthen the eraser bar.
