It features two adjustable nasal tips and two suction levels, so can be used for infants, toddlers, and little kids. The motor sound on this one is not as loud as on the others aspirators which is plus. Best time to do it is right after a shower when mucus is moist otherwise you have to spray nose with saline water and wait about 15 seconds before start to sucking. Since I need to change batteries often I use rechargeable batteries to reduce waste. A carrying pouch comes handy for traveling and sleepovers. There are a lot of things to like. It arrives with everything you need, including batteries so you can use it right out of the box. There are two tips for a better fit and two suction choices. It is relatively quiet and is designed so it can be used from a variety of angles. It's easy to disassemble and clean. The instructions state that the tips are dishwasher safe though I personally prefer to put them in a bowl of soapy water to clean. It may depend on your dishwasher, but ours gets pretty hot and I'm worried the heat could change the shape of the tips over time. The only real downside is the two suction options are both pretty weak. I can see the need for a weak setting for your child to get used to the device, but the higher suction is still too weak to be fully effective. It would be great to have a third setting that provides stronger suction. Overall, my kids tolerate it okay and it does help clear their noses some, but not as much as I'd hoped. I think this is more suitable for children too young to blow their nose properly. This works so much easier than the one you get in the hospital. Also, feel safe using the Braun nasal aspirator. I used it on myself first. There not much suction to either mode. One is supposed to be a little stronger but they seem to about the same. It doesn't work too well on adults, But that okay as this is more for infants. This is great for your little ones in the winter months, even in the summer, they get running noses or stuffy nose. I had no issue using this my infant grandson. He didn't mind it at all. It got most of the stuff out of is his nose. I would recommend when you do one side, To close the other side of the nose, It helps more. This also has two nozzle sizes. My son has the typical amount of snot I&rsquo;d say. I make him blow his nose several times a day. I tried this on him; nothing. I decided to try it on myself just to see what it felt like. Granted I had zero congestion, I felt literally nothing. I put my finger to the tip of the syringe and again, barely felt any suction. I changed the tips, changed the settings from high to low. Still nothing. I used the Nose Frieda on my son when he was a baby and I had to suck HARD to get any mucus out, so I am positive this low level of suction will successfully remove any congestion. My doctors favorite prescription is, saline and suction, and this is also the least favorite for my boys. It's horrible having your child fight you or get more upset when you're trying to help. Other aspirators I've tried are either really loud (making them more scary), super hard to clean or just don't work. This is the first one that has no of those issues. My favorite is that it is very quiet and it doesn't add the the already uncomfortable experience. I allowed my son to do it with me as ND he liked having some control. I liked that it worked rather quickly and then was very easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this.
