The window clips and suction cups secure the shade to the window and I experienced no rattling on my 30 minute drive to work. The shade seems to block a significant amount of sun while not blocking my vision nor my son's view of our surrounding. The shades retract up easily when not needed (though I'm not sure how frequently I'll retract it as we mostly do day trips) and I love that the screen is made of fabric rather than plastic. As far as the heat indicator is concerned, I don't see a real use for it. I'll be in the vehicle whenever my child is and I'll keep it at comfortable temperature. The only thing I didn't quite get was the &quot;White Hot Indicator&quot; which still says the car is too hot with the AC pumping. I'm not certain what the temperature threshold for the indicator is, but I don't find that feature is terribly helpful. These sunshades are fantastic, before actually hanging them in the windows of our car I tested the main difference of this sunshade which is the color changing HOT icon on the pull tab of the shade by placing the shade in a car that had been sitting in the sun all day. It worked; the HOT icon was white as it should have been. I installed these into our main vehicle and the suction cups worked great, they stuck the first time and didn't slip, and the shade itself keeps the sun out as it should. My only complaint is that the shade part could be a little wider to cover more of the window. I have multiple cars but decided to use these in my Honda Odyssey minivan as my kids ride in that vehicle the most. I would first like to point out the product features and then review them one at a time. 1. White Hot indicator, 2. Two shades for max coverage, 3. Dual attachment system (clips or suction cups), 4. One push button for rollup, 5. Safe-View mesh. White Hot indicator - To be honest I do not really know what to say about the indicators. I live in the south where it is pretty hot during the summer. Whenever I get in the van they say it is hot. So I turn the van's AC on full blast. My kids then complain that they are cold, but I look back and see that the indicators say it is hot. Since they are attached to the window are they getting heat from the window? Sometimes when we are driving we will see that one says it is hot but the other does not. The side of the van that faces the sun is saying it is hot. So not really sure how useful this feature really is. Not sure this is a feature I would buy this product for. Two shades for maximum coverage - As mentioned I have a Honda Odyssey. The van has built in shades in the middle row so I had to use these in the third row. They cover a descent amount of the window in the back row. Please note that these are 14 inches wide and about 14 inches tall. I suggest you measure your windows to see if this will work for you for size. For my Odyssey I wish they were a bit wider but for my others cars this would be sufficient. Dual Attachment - Since this is used in my van in the back row I have to use the suction cups. They work great. No complaints so far on them. They have been hanging in the van for a month or so and have not fallen of yet. As for the clips. I suspect they would work as designed. It is nice to know there is another option if I were to put them in my other cars. One push button for rollup - This works as designed. I played with it before installing and they worked great and allowed the shade to retract fast and completely. Safe view mesh - The mesh is very comparable to the ones already in the van. In my opinion they strike a perfect balance. They block the sun as expected, but more importantly you can still see through them during the day and at night and do not impair your vision. The bottom line on these is that this is a good product.
