<span itemprop="description">My FIL installed it so I'm not sure how difficult it was but the couple weeks we've had them have been great. They are currently pressure mounted (no drilling), tightly fitted and swing both ways which is a great feature. Perfect for dogs (even my little dog can't squeeze through) and baby. Baby loves standing next to the rails and looking at our dogs on the other side in they're own space. He's not strong enough to push them over yet so I'll find out about that and update.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Once installed, the gate is really quick and easy to open and close - much easier than our Summer wooden staircase gate. Great for our main floor where we go through it quite frequently. One thing to note is that it advises installation right at the floor level, but we weren't able to do this because of the shape of a baluster we were installing on, so the bottom sits a few inches off the floor. Even with the gate open, there is still a bar running across the entire width, so we need to step over the bottom rather than simply walking through. Not a big issue, but something to note.</span>

The baseboard, newel post and wall are all different widths so I was concerned about marking the walls with a permanent fix. This gate made it easy to set up and take down without leaving any marks. Great design.</span>
