Not only do I LOVE the ombre green color, but the fabric is really soft. An added bonus to the cute look is that there are no added chemicals in the fabric! It was also so easy to install by myself. The car seat is not all that heavy either which makes it easier to move if you have to switch between vehicles. My son (16 months) seems super comfortable in this seat, and I know he will continue to be comfy as he grows and we are able to turn him front facing! One thing to note is that there are not cup holders on this car seat but that is not a big deal for us. My favorite feature is how easy it is to move between cars. The clicktight feature is very handy. This seat is sturdy and I feel that my child is well protected in it. It is incredibly sturdy. I was so impressed with the weight of the carseat and how you can see the thick metal bars on the back side of the car seat keeping it secure. We received the Gray Ombre color and it was beautiful. Light gray and cream make it look so put together. The actual fabric also feels very high quality and very soft. My baby looks so cozy when she's in her car seat. We had a little harder time closing the carseat backdown during installation but I have a feeling it was user error or our car because everyone else seems to talk about how easy it was to install. I definitely recommend this carseat as it feels incredibly sturdy, cozy, and it looks beautiful all at the same time. We are a family that prioritizes car seat safety so I was excited to try out the features of this seat. I first noticed how heavy the seat seemed in comparison to others and it all made sense after I read further about the specs on the safety features of the frame. My mind at ease with the safety of the seat, I next fell in love with the seat fabric and comfort. Both of my kids commented on how comfortable and soft the seat is and I love how the color blended well with my car&rsquo;s interior. Safety with beautiful comfort, big plus! Next came the car seat install: I prefer a LATCH installation in my car but because my two kids are over the rear facing LATCH weight limit for the seat I used the seatbelt instead. The ClickTight system took some getting used to but the ability to install a car seat with it is truly amazing. Just pop open the panel, thread the seat belt through, take out the slack without a full body workout and close the panel. Done! Another important component of the installing a car seat is getting the correct recline and I thought that the recline pull was very easy to maneuver and that the larger indicator made getting it right easier when compared to seats with smaller indicators. Lastly, having storage in the seat for the straps you aren&rsquo;t currently using is so nice as well. Also important, the seat fit: I drive a midsize SUV and was pleasantly surprised that although the seat seems big on its own, it fit very well on my bench seat on the side. No overlap or pushing on the seatbelt connector. The profile of the seat seems a little more narrow but doesn&rsquo;t sacrifice safety. The last safety and fit feature we all like are the chest pads. My kids like that the chest clip is not so hard on their chest area and I like that it seems to keep my one child, who loves to play with the clip, from moving it around. While I do love so many things about the seat, there were some things I found lacking which is why I give the seat 4 stars. With the seat being on the heavy side and the installation taking a little getting used to, this is a seat that you wouldn&rsquo;t want to move frequently between cars or take on an airplane. Also, I mentioned that I prefer using the LATCH system and was disappointed when it wasn&rsquo;t able to be used at a higher child weight, due to the weight of the seat. But considering the safety of the seat itself there is some give and take here. I also noticed that we need to move the front seats of the car more forward than usual after installation. My husband and I are on the tall side, around 6 feet so we lost some valuable inches in the front seat no matter how I adjusted the car seat&rsquo;s recline to try for a better fit. I also wish that cup holders did come standard with the seat as that is a necessity for our kids, especially when rear facing at their age, they always like to have a water bottle within easy reach. Overall it was so nice to find a safe, functional seat that didn&rsquo;t sacrifice comfort or looks! Our 11 month old son cried in every car seat (chicco infant, graco 4ever, evenflo everystage) on EVERY ride the ENTIRE time. It was exhausting, draining, and tough for our family. This has been a huge game saver. For our older girls 4 and 3) we used the Chicco. But- I didn&rsquo;t want another. They were impossible to clean vomit out of. We found this and WOW. It&rsquo;s insanely easy to strap in and best of all our little boy doesn&rsquo;t scream anymore. Totally worth the cost. We plan on purchasing another for my husbands vehicle. I've taken apart and washed the material at least 8 times and the material is in great shape and has never faded. The only con seemed to be that it was wide, so if you needed multiples across the back seat, it might not work. The 3 star rating is because my son outgrew both the rear and forward facing hight by the time he was 16 months old. If we hadn't liked it so much before he outgrew it, the short amount of time it was appropriate would have warranted a 1 or 2 star rating. I did hours upon hours of research before purchasing the Britax Clicktight Advocate. We have 3 kids so we purchased 3 of the same seats for them. The seats are super easy to install! East to adjust the headrest height as they grow. However I feel that the design needs some improvement. A big thing being that the cover does not stay on around the edges. My 3 and 4 year olds climb in and out of their seats on their own- then I strap them. The cover is always popping off around the edges at the top of the seat/headrest. On my 4 year old's seat the foam on the headrest has broken apart from the headrest. We have had these seats for about 15 months! For the money spent on each seat I don't feel that they should be breaking and coming apart from every day wear and tear so soon. Once someone shows you how to set it up it's quite easy. In comparison it makes our other car seats seem flimsy, probably have to buy another one for Grandma's car once she sees it. It is a heavy and bulky car seat. I have a Dodge Journey and It takes up quite a bit of room in the center seat. Any one else sitting next to it has to be fairly thin to fit comfortably. I had repeated issues with the click tight feature as once you buckle the seat in, you have to leave a bit of slack in order for the seat to click in, then you can't pull the strap to further tighten. I tried for over 30 minutes to get the slack just right so that it would both click down and the seat would not slide around. It was useless. I ended up using the included tethers and while those were easier to install, the issue, once again, with the click tight mechanism is that you have to leave a little slack for the seat to click down. Overall it's still not as tight as I would like but it's much better than using the lap belt to install. The other issue I have with this is that when you install it forward facing, you cannot adjust the angle of the seat- say, if your child falls asleep and you want them to lean back a bit. The car seats my nephews used allowed for one hand seat adjustment while it was buckled with no problem. With this seat, once you set the angle, it's what you get unless you undo the straps. I tried putting it slightly angled back in case my daughter falls asleep, and then strapped it down again and it just does not sit firmly on the vehicle as I would like. There is a gap behind the seat, between the car seat base and the vehicle seat and that causes the seat to lift at the base, closest to the vehicle seat. Other than these things, my daughter is comfortable in the car seat and it's pretty as well. I assume it's safe though I have it in the back of my mind because of the issue with tightening down the seat. I've hated installing them all. They were such a hassle. Also they tangled easily, were large and bulky, and heavy. Last month I learned about the Advocate and wow was I impressed. As a working parent who sometimes has to click and unclick the car seat this new click tight install makes moving your car seat a five minute job. Boom! My five-year-old even commented on how awesome the car seat was. He told me it was much more roomy and comfortable. I can't stop recommending this to everyone I know.
