The appropriate mattress dimensions are no smaller than 27 1/4&amp;quot; x 51 5/8&amp;quot;. When selecting a mattress you want to test for the appropriate fit. Place the mattress in the crib. There should be no more than 1/2&amp;quot; of space between the mattress and the crib side on any side. If the mattress is pushed to one side in the crib, you should have no more than 1&amp;quot; of space between the opposing side and the crib side. If you do, it poses a suffocation hazard and should not be used!
