As we all know, while nursing or being with the baby other children, namely little toddlers, love to come around and get their parent's attention. If a hand or foot winds up anywhere in the mechanism while gliding it will be maimed. There are many easy fixes for this problem but Toys R Us won't fo a thing to make the simple fix of a fabric cover over the lower wood rails. This chair squeaked from the moment we put it together and LOUD. Tried a few things to modify the loud squeak but nothing worked. 2 years later we are about to have our second baby and in a position where this piece of junk is destined for one place and one place only - the dump! It&rsquo;s has completely fallen apart and not held up whatsoever. It is literally a hazard to sit in at this point. Does not rock / glide anymore either. Spend your money elsewhere. I am so disappointed that I have to buy something else for baby #2 when spending this kind of money should&rsquo;ve gotten me something that lasted longer. When we assembled it and sat into the actual chair, the backing isn&rsquo;t high enough for either myself or my husband to rest our heads on. I&rsquo;m 5&rsquo;5 feet and he is 6&rsquo;1 and both of us can&rsquo;t put our head back to relax, our necks hit the top of the chair and your head lays back along the top. This chair needs to be a few inches longer on the back. It also can use a few inches wider, My husband looks like he is sitting in a child&rsquo;s chair. For the price it needs to be bigger. Had for 3 or more months. When you rock itll make a very loud squeak, when you go forward or backwards in it. When you do rock it sometimes it might fall off the track and leave a black grease stain if you have a carpet under it. With respect to the comfort, quality, ease of assembly and head rest hight the chair is excellent, however, the chair has an automatic locking mechanism which is exceptionally frustrating. While rocking/gliding, the chair will abruptly lock (sometimes on the first glide.. other times on the third or fifth glide for instance - there is no known reason or cause) causing the chair to come to a haunting/jolting and uncomfortable stop, and is very distracting while trying to feed our newborn. I spend most of the time holding the leaver down on the side of the chair trying to unlock it and it is incredibly frustrating while trying to feed. For comfort I was so pleased with the chair so it is incredibly disappointing. I hate to share a negative review about this chair, however I spent an exceptional amount of time looking into different chairs before I selected this one, therefore feel it&rsquo;s important to share this info.
