Despite the fact that the water runs out quickly, we were relatively pleased with the product (other than the green/red light, which we had to cover up to keep from bugging our daughter). Even though we cleaned it weekly as recommended, the motor started to go after five months and now, just less than six months old, the humidifier is unusable because the motor runs so loud it keeps our daughter awake. I researched as many as I could to see what would be the best. Did not want any filters or wicks to have to purchase. I wanted to get one of the ultrasonic ones that were rated higher by the different medical specialists. I choose this one and have been nothing but pleased with it. Actually, I was surprised to find it states it has a nebulizer which makes the water mist finer which is a better form for the air. I change the water daily as recommended and use distilled water due to the high mineral content in our local water. I cleaned it for the first time as I have only had it one week yesterday and I did it at the same time I cleaned my bi-pap machine which both recommend the use of water and white distilled vinegar. Very easy. I think it would be a great addition to anyone that has problems with their breathing during the cold months. It's very quite and she had a very stuffy nose in the morning now she wakes up happier because of the humidifier.
