<span itemprop="description">With the cold dry air in the winter my daughter would wake up during the night coughing needing a drink because her throat was dry. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this was the cheapest humidifier I could find. I turn it on during the day and she doesn't cough all night. The only problem is te little green light would distract her from going to sleep o I can't have it one when she is going to bed.</span>

I love how it's very easy to maintain and does not need a filter to do the job, unlike other filters out there where I needed to soak the filter prior to use. It's very quiet and I could actually see the mist coming out. My daughter slept well the first night using this. She had been coughing every night and the dry weather made it worst, so I decided to get one of this and it works very well.</span>

The light is on, there is a sound but no steam.. it been less than a year. And I almost didn't use summer time,because humidity was high,so it broke after just a few months of usage. <span itemprop="description">Very cute humidifier, that matched well in our nursery. Works well and tank is large enough to run on high all night. If we run it on low the tank lasts 2 or more days. The only con is the green on light is super bright. It lights up the whole room. We had used an object to block the light and have since placed a small square of black electrical tape to cover light. We have owned the monkey, elephant, frog and penguin version of this humidifier. After 2-3 years most of them started leaking. I would recommend placing on tray to prevent any headaches a leak may cause. Also if it is leaking or not working you may not have the tank on properly.</span>

I didn't run with mist. Just rinsed the base with water vinegar solution.
