My son fits well in this seat and he told me it is more comfortable than his previous high back booster. The tilting head rest is so nice for him to be able to sleep in the car. What&rsquo;s nice value for a convertible car seat from basically birth to booster. It is heavy, but sturdy and the fabric is soft, good looking, and no piling yet! The headrest and straps are very easy to adjust. The straps glide smoothly and it&rsquo;s super easy tightening or loosening them. With the headrest in the lowest setting the seat back folds and sits awkwardly in the seat. As the headrest is raised the seat back fits much nicer. I achieved a good fit for my 9 month old. The seat doesn&rsquo;t feel very padded- the seat back actually feels a bit hard but my daughter falls asleep in it so I imagine it isn&rsquo;t that uncomfortable. I love how easy the belt install is in my car. The multiple reclines, level, and labels on the seat made it quick and easy to install (rfig) first try. I am consistently drawn to the Cybex brand because of its powerful combination of safety and design. The Eternis S has both, and I found it easy to install as well as safe, comfortable, and stylish. I installed the Eternis S using the latch system and rear-facing option. The latches are in a compartment underneath the seat and the instructions in the booklet were easy to follow, esp. the visuals. I also like that there&rsquo;s a device on the side with a bead so you know you&rsquo;ve installed it correctly (e.g. the recline) for both forward and rear facing options, based on your child's weight. The linear side protection was so easy to use (just push a button!) and is an added element of safety. Beyond the ease of installation, some features I enjoy include the following: the reclining headrest so that baby/child&rsquo;s head is back with airway open; the soft padding; and the ability to remove and wash the upholstery on the seat. My one criticism is that for the seatbelt, particularly the bottom buckle, you do need to have one hand on the front and back to forcefully push the red button so the belt releases. Overall, it's reassuring to have my child in the safest car seat while also turning heads with the Eternis' innovative style. The head rest tilts back so when hes asleep his little head doesn't flop forward, like it would in any other seat! I like that the cup is removable, so it's easy to clean or choose which side to put it on. Although, if I had one complaint I wish it had the cup connected to the front of an arm rest. Only because I have two seats next to eachother and there isn't much room for me to squeeze the cup on the side by my daughters seat. The feature on the bottom to make sure the seat is at the right angle is so nice and easy to use! It was super easy to install. love the side impact safety as well! The car seat was fairly heavy due to the steel reinforced frame which gives me a peace of mind knowing that if I am in an accident that I have one of the best durable materials surrounding my child. This seat came with an additional protection function called Linear Side-Impact Protection (LSP).&nbsp; It was an easy to push button on the side of the car seat which then popped out a hard piece of plastic toward the door which is designed to absorb up to 25% more impact forces in an accident. The headrest in this seat had 12 different positions!&nbsp; I always worried with my first child that her head would bounce around and fall to her chest once she fell asleep.&nbsp; Using this seat for my son I can worry less because it has all of these positions that you can set the headrest at.&nbsp; Some settings are designed at these inclines especially for when they fall asleep. It was easy to install using the anchor clips and that they click released.&nbsp; The tightening straps could be shortened or lengthened effortlessly.&nbsp; I did find that the labeling could have been better in the manual/on the car seat because I was looking for the exact words of rear facing belt on the car seat to slip the seat belt through and I was not able to find it.&nbsp; The headrest was a bit difficult to adjust at first because you have to pull up on the release and push/pull the headrest at the same time. There were many likes and one major dislike. The seat itself was easy to install into both a full size truck and into a midsize SUV. According to my toddler, it is very comfortable and has a nice design to it. The chest buckle is easy for me to use but difficult for my toddler, which is a plus! I liked how the neck pads were easy to move into position, making it easier to tell if the straps were twisted or not. The cup holder was a nice feature and worked great, however the rubber ring used to help keep the cup in place came out every time my daughter took her cup out. The cup holder still works great without the rubber ring in it! One of my favorite features was the L.S.P. system used to reduce injury with side impact. I liked the idea of that and it seems that it would make it a little safer. Overall, I loved the car seat and its features but I have one major concern, the system used for tightening the harness. When pulling the strap to tighten the harness, the surrounding plastic piece came out and was no longer clipped in. It didn't seem like a big deal but when I double checked the tightness of the straps before closing the door and driving away, the entire harness was loose and able to move. When looking more closely, when the plastic piece came out of place, it pressed down on the button to release the harness, which poses a MAJOR safety concern. It didn't happen every time I pulled the strap to tighten the harness, but I was able to reproduce the problem. My child is EXTREMELY comfortable in it. She now is willing to take longer car rides. It is also very easy to get her in and out of this seat, which is nice. It has some nice features that I like and some that can be better but we have no real issue with. Pros: The magnets that hold the buckles up are very useful. The easy in which we can tilt the seat is nice. The pull-through to tighten the latch buckles made tightening it easy. The button to loose the straps is the best we have seen, most are either difficult to find or press the &quot;wrong&quot; way, this one makes loosing the straps very easy and removing my child from the seat very easy well. When the head rest goes up it adjusts the straps automatically. The head rest tilts forward and back, which greatly aids to my child's comfort. Cons: The head rest is a bit wobbly, but I am not really worried about that. There is no way to remove the seat cover, so cleaning it will be difficult. Somehow the straps came loose and I had to retread them to through the seat, I think this was just bad luck though, I was able to do this with relative ease. Overall: Not being able to remove the seat cover to clean it might be an issue, spot cleaning it is easy enough though. If you can live with not removing the seat cover, then this is a very nice car seat that we expect will last for many years. First, the material is soft yet sturdy and most importantly the design itself makes it easier for bigger babies, like mine, to be comfortable during long rides. There is padding with infant inserts too which makes it amazing to use from the time the baby is born up until they are ready to be out of a car seat! And...BEST OF ALL, I CAN WASH THE FABRIC that comes off!!! In addition, it was easy to install and is easy to adjust. What I love is that the headrest tilts which helps the baby stay in the correct position while sleeping. Also, I love that eventually when the baby is big enough to be front facing, the seat belt will go through the red clip. When it came to car seats one of the most recommended brands through family and friends was Cybex company. To be honest i never heard of the company until recently. I was very hesitant to order Cybex Gold - Eternis S with sensor safe car seat. The car seat is great. It is not too bulky and it has a great color. The material on the car seat is washable, which i love. The installation itself was fairly easy. You just have to read the manual and you have to make sure that the back of the car seat stripes are locked properly. What i love about this car seat is that it has two red handles where the child head is and it allows you to adjust the cushion for the head base on the child's height. It also accommodates your child as their grow and you can change their sitting position. The safety belt is easily adjustable and and i love the sensor safe option that has built in to the chest clip. If it happens that your child tries to untie themselves or there are some unsafe movements in the car seat the system will alert you via app that you install on the phone. I also loved that on the left side of the car seat there is something called Linear Side Impact protection. If you are happen to be in the car accident this button that is on the side will activate to provide extra safety for your child. The car seat is very safe and sturdy , but it is also child friendly in terms that you can wash the fabric and remove the cup holder and wash it in the washing machine. I would definitely recommend all parents when it comes to child safety not to look at the price of the car seat. Look at it's overall safety . I will keep using all Cybex products for my little growing family. You can tell there was a lot of thought put in to the design and materials used. This car seat has some impressive safety features like the Linear Side Impact protection and the Sensorsafe chest clip. Sadly the Sensorsafe was not compatible with my car since it is a 2005. The manual states they have not been tested in cars prior to 2008. The Sensorsafe works great in my husband's car which is a 2014. My little one seems to find it very comfortable and almost always falls asleep while riding in it. One of the things I'm most excited about is that this car seat goes up to 120lbs. So if you think about it, this car seat should pay for itself many times over. While we didn't have the opportunity to use this as an infant car seat, I find it impressive that Cybex was able to design something that can be used from infant to 10 yoa. The only negative thing I have to say is that the installation was a little difficult. I think the instruction manual was partly to blame as it is slightly confusing. With that being said, I would still highly recommend the Eternis S for anyone looking for a car seat. Sturdy and well made. My favourite features are: 1. Rear facing option till 50 pounds. 2. Great recline options- especially for use from birth. Easy to put into different recline positions with guide on side. Head rest also has a recline option. 3. No re-thread height adjustment for head support. Head rest is also the easiest I&rsquo;ve used to lift up and down, with the dual button and top and bottom which means you don&rsquo;t have to struggle to get it into position. 4. Fairly easy cover removal. Bottom is clipped in with 3 tabs- these easily pop out once cover is pulled all the way down and then just gently pull plastic seat apart a tiny bit. 5. Nice fabric with good padding. 6. Smart sensor clip to remind you the kid is in the back. 7. A true birth to big kid seat- the booster option allows you to thread a car seat belt easily through the guide at the top- allowing car seat to be used to 120 pounds. 8. Built in storage for straps- both back tether and anchor clips. 9. Fit well in a 2014 rouge and leaf including rear facing. Disadvantages: 1. Hard to install using the lower anchor clips, especially in a rear facing position- it took two adults using strength to push the seat down while pulling the straps to install it tight enough- if this car seat had the easy two-step tightening system I&rsquo;d give it 100%. The anchors do have a nice easy-release which makes uninstalling very easy. 2. It is a heavy seat- although this is only an issue if having to move it around. This is my first time using an All-In-One car seat. I am currently using the car seat in rear facing mode. The sensor technology is a unique feature. The most useful feature for me on a day to day basis is that the app shows you the temperature in the car seat. I am always worried about my baby overheating, and he would often get sweaty in his old seat, this prevents it from happening. In terms of safety, it provides peace of mind that your child is bucked in and won&rsquo;t be left in the car if you become absentminded. While placing my groceries in front of my house It alarmed me that my child was left in the car. The feature will also call emergency contact/911 if left for a long period of time. In order to use the sensor, you must make sure that you have an OBDII port available to use in your car for the technology to work. I am supposed to be using the port with my car insurance. The app also comes with digital manuals that are a lot more convenient than using the paper manual. The fabric and padding feel incredible. I wish I could sit in it myself. The Manhattan Gray color is beautiful and sleek looking. The buckles are magnetic and will stick to the side of the car seat while placing the child in. It&rsquo;s such a simple concept but it&rsquo;s genius and extremely helpful. It&rsquo;s so much easier to put my child into the seat. I like that the cup holders can be used or not and you can also buy an additional one if needed. This will be great for the future in case we have more children and require additional car seats in the back. The mechanics of the car seat are relatively easy to figure out. The only issue I have had is that I have some trouble making the straps tight enough when my child is in the car seat, especially because it&rsquo;s in the rear facing position and I have to pull the strap up instead of out. This may be especially helpful as a car seat for family members who transport your child and may not remember exactly that they are transporting them due to infrequency of the transports. It is nice that it states that you specifically put it out on the side of the car seat that is closest to the car door and not anywhere else. This car seat is worth the money as it transforms with your child throughout their stages of growth and up to 120 pounds. There are 12 height positions to grow with your child along with the ability to recline the car seat in three positions in case they may need to recline further down or sit up for a trip or so on. There is also a newborn insert that is provided with the car seat which is especially helpful if you have a smaller child using the car seat. My daughter is 16 months old and still uses it as she is a petite little girl and it is helpful for her. The clip in system is much easier than my Graco car seat in words of clipping and unclipping my daughter in and out of the car seat, I don&rsquo;t struggle as much. My daughter likes the use of the cup holder on the side of the car seat and I like that you can take it off to wash it or clean it as needed as we all have accidents that happen.
