<span itemprop="description">I got these carbon inserts to see if they would really help keep the diaper smell from seeping from my diaper genie. Even though the genie is meant to cloths out the smell it still comes through the more dirty diapers are in it. I have found so far that the carbon has helped keep that smell out of the bedroom. Of course its not going keep the smell out when the top is open and I didnt expect it to. So over all it does well but maybe not well enough to keep buying. Simply emptying the genie more frequently can do the same.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I would strongly recommend buying this filter if you are going to spend a lot of time in the room with the Genie. Ours is in the room with the computer and most of the time it was no big deal but when it starts to get full (and, uh, ripe...), it's was noticeable. With the filters I don't notice it at all any more. I just wish they sold the inserts without the plastic piece. That doesn't need to be replaced, just the insert.</span>

You don't get a big whiff of those presents our babies leave us each time you open it, even after a week of diapers sitting in there. Your diaper genie should come with a holder for the carbon filter. It's on the inside of the lid of the diaper genie.
