We wanted to replace our Arm &amp; Hammer because it had broken after almost 3 years of use. Of course we considered getting another one, but a friend of ours had given us bag refills for the diaper genie as a gift for our 2nd child. So we decided to get the diaper genie. We did research on which model to get and really loved the step feature for opening and closing the Complete pail and the fact that it would be provide odor control. Well, needless to say, we're immensely disappointed. Not only did Playtex fail in the way they have the bags, but they also failed in their so-called &quot;odor control&quot; highlight of the pail. A&amp;H's diaper pail has bags that all you have to do is open and close and I also believe that you are able to dispose of more diapers with A&amp;H's bags. It may not seem like a big deal, but when you're trying to do things in a hurry, cutting and tying knots sometimes is most inconvenient. Additionally, our son's bedroom constantly WREAKS of soiled diapers, which can also affect the rest of the home (I'm sure you can use your imagination). I don't know if it's because the pail isn't completely closed surrounding the bag or if it's the bag itself that doesn't hold in the odor well. I wish we would have chosen the munchkin one instead!
