He carries it around everywhere and fussed at his older siblings if they try to take it from him. It&rsquo;s easy to hold, has a nice ( and reasonably quiet) sound which appeases my child, and is pleasant to look at! I want to be able to give it 5 stars because it really is his favorite toy, but I have been accidentally hit in the face by it twice , and with the full plastic covering on top it is pretty painful. We have used a lot of the similar oballs which are covered fully by the cagey plastic , and as kids shake them about I&rsquo;ve been hit a time or two and it&rsquo;s not been a big deal, but I worry that young babies and older babies alike could hurt themselves or others with this toy due to the hard Mickey Mouse on top of the toy. It is very easy to grip and hold thanks to the soft ears and the holes in them. The rattle is not too noisy yet it&rsquo;s loud enough to keep him entertained. We make sure to bring it along on every car ride. The Mickey Mouse eats are cute and contain a small rattle. Even with the Mickey Mouse eats the ball can be tossed and it still rolls around. My sons enjoys crawling around and chasing it around but also likes to hold on to it and shake during stroller rides. This keeps his attention a little more. The rattle is mechanical And not musical. If you look under the mickey mouse head there are a few holes that make it easy to hear the sound. One issue I do have with this is that this is the toys that is typically thrown around and also goes in the a baby&rsquo;s mouth so the holes at the bottom of the Mickey don&rsquo;t make it a dump in a sink or dishwasher toys becuase if water slips in then mold can grow. This makes it for time consuming to clean which is an important feature in today&rsquo;s world. This is cute for decoration but also is the same as any other ball a baby can use that may be easier to clean.
