She enjoyed a mesh one (different brand) and it developed mold within two weeks! Even though we washed it before &amp; every use. This pacifier like style appeals to babies eyes as they see its similar to their binky and would hopefully go for it. The item is pretty light weight. The bulb is soft with holes all around it for food to escape but not drastic enough to make a huge mess, I have tested crushed fruit, mash potatoes, and boiled crushed vegetables so far. I don't think all babies will like this method though.
