They are the absolute worst bottles I have ever tried. They are uncomfortable for baby and no matter what I tried these bottles leak so horribly. I would loose ounces of milk from these bottles leaking!!!! It was so disappointing since my production was already down! Not to mention the 1 million pieces these bottles have that you have to take them all apart and clean them. And you have to buy separate brushes to clean the bottles with which they don&rsquo;t tell you! Why doesn&rsquo;t it just come with them? Please don&rsquo;t waste your money on these. I thought I was the only one but my friend told me the same thing that all they did for her was leak. It&rsquo;s beyond frustrating and I&rsquo;m happy I got these for my baby shower. Our baby is 4 weeks old and has a gassy tummy. She literally screamed after every feeding for up to 2 hours before calming down again due to the amount of air she was taking in from her previous bottle while feeding. We started using Dr. Browns' vented bottle, and the issue went away almost immediately. I don't know if I'm stuck with bad bottles or what but I have 15 bottles and 12 of them leak everywhere! I pump and feed my child and make just enough of what my baby drinks, so I can't afford to lose milk to leaky bottles. So mom's who are in a similar situation you may want to explore other bottle options so you don't lose out on the liquid gold your babies need. Being a first time mom, there are so many challenges I face in a day and leaky bottles shouldn't be one of those challenges. I have worked in daycares for awhile now and always loved Dr. Brown bottles, never had a problem with them ever. When I became pregnant I knew right away I wanted the Dr. Brown bottles. We got the new Option bottles and figured the older ones work great so these I'm sure are just as amazing. I was wrong. The milk pours out of the bottle. We tried multiple different ways of putting the cap on just right, every time the bottle leaks. We tried them without the vent and you have to make sure the cover is on just right or it will still leak. I'm very disappointed in these bottles. We now use them without the vents and just pray we have the cover on right or we will get covered in formula. It leaks from below the threaded cap. It usually fill only 2 oz, have the cap tighten and ensure there's no gap between nipple n cap. Still it leaks everytime. I have previously used Dr. brown as a nanny, when I became pregnant I knew I wanted to use them for my baby. I used the normal 4 oz clear bottles until my little one hit 4 oz and we opened our box of lavender bottles. Such a disappointment! The vent doesn't work with the travel pieces due to the purple vent having a piece that goes upwards torward the nipple piece. Also the milk doesn't flow as easy so I have to take the bottle out of my little ones mouth mid feeding and turn it up right for the milk to get in trapped.
