<span itemprop="description">This gate is impossible to install. Instructions make it seem like it can be mounted on a baseboard, but then there is no way to adjust for the top mounting mechanism. For my purpose it can not be mounted about the baseboard because it would leave a large gap between the floor and bottom of gate. Returning this product.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Very sturdy!! Gate is heavy although easy to lift with one hand when I am holding my daughter. It can be loud when you drop it too quickly when it locks into place, but that indicates that the gate is locked! We are very happy with it. We bought 2, one for the top of the stairs to the basement and one for the front foyer steps. The white matches our contemporary home and its discreet. Will probably buy again for the bottom of the steps.</span>
