When the top layer got wet, it got sticky and if it wasn't changed right away, it stuck uncomfortably to my nipples and had to be peeled off. They tend to be bulky, uncomfortable or not very absorbent. I've tried several brands and I think these are as good as they get. They are less weirdly shaped than some other disposable pads I've tried. The big difference I noticed was how dry they seemed when I removed them. A lot of other pads are still wet against your skin when you remove them, but these still felt dry and comfortable. It's absorbency is amazing! I'm a heavy leaker that can't use reusable nursing pads because I leak through them in seconds after my milk lets down, but these lasted mr all day! So they are great quality and would be great for any nursing mom. The only things and the reason I only gave it 3 stars is they are bulky and stiff. I don't like being able to see the outline of the pads on my shirt. But besides those two things they are great! I felt like they became a little stiff as they got wet. I'm a very heavy leaker, and these pads unfortunately did not stand up to the job. Within a couple hours they were sopping wet and leaking, and so was I. Often disposable nursing pads trap too much moisture and heat close to the nipple and I worry about that aggravating existing chapped and irritated nipples. I also really like that these are individually and discretely wrapped so I was able to throw and couple spares into the diaper bag without worrying about them getting crummy before being used. Every other brand of individually wrapped disposable pads I've used has folded the pad - great for saving space, but it tends to leave the pad in an odd shape that makes the pad look bulky under my nursing tank tops. These are left flat when wrapped though, eliminating the funky fold in the middle. They are a bit more bulky than some disposable pads, but much more absorbent too. They worked great for me overnight as well as during the day. I didn't find the adhesive necessary, the pads stayed put without me needing to use it. These were actually not itchy. Before these, I resorted to using reusable pads but was worried about leaking through. Now I don't have to worry about leaking through clothes. It isn't loud when you move and it adheres to your bra/clothing to stay in place. The indentations on the pad help direct your milk so it doesn't feel wet quickly in the center. Suggestions for improvement* Sometimes they don't stick too great one adhesive strip will unstick and the pad becomes folded down (like almost in half) This could maybe be fixed by instead of having the two adhesive strips maybe make the adhesive strip a circle? Another thing is (I used these for about a wk before writing this review) and I did this twice I accidentally stuck the sticky part on my breast:( It was painfull to pull off lol busy mother like myself with a crying newborn are often a bit scattered and something about pulling the adhesives backing off and then placing it on the bra sometimes its easy not to think much about it and it comes more naturally to flip it so Idk somehow I stuck it to my skin twice... *Improvement suggestion* Maybe write &quot;back&quot; on the sticky side lol or something thats noticeable so when we're in a rush we don't accidentally tape ourselves:) I think other busy mothers will also appreciate this. I just had my second child, and he latches on like a pro. My milk came in on the first day postpartum, and became engorged the second day. I was spraying milk everywhere, ruined several bras and tops. These little babies soak it all up! They are comfortable and soft against my tender nipples. I don't even realize I'm wearing them. I never have to use the adhesive strips, they stay in place without them. I also use them to soak my nipples in coconut oil. I just put the oil on the pads, and place them in my bra. Of all the disposable and washable nursing pads I own, Evenflo's Advanced Nursing Pads truly hold there weight in performance and comfort. Unlike some other brands, with Evenflo I don't leak through the pads, nor am I irritated by the pads surface. The design of each pad eliminates milk and therefore does not stick to my skin once used and I've also been able to reuse the pad, as it absorbs and dries very cleanly! The adhesives do hold up well, and another factor I found helpful was the discreet appearance of the pads under my bra; no embarrassing lines or gathering at the breast, considering the use of extra padding.:). The material is reasonably soft, absorbency is amazing, and the tape is a nice feature. The only reason I gave a 4 vs 5 star was that the tape didn't stick to some fabrics (stretchy or satin), but worked great on cotton bras and nursing tanks.
