I have always had Graco car seats so I was wary that this might be difficult to install compared to what I was used to. I am not big on reading instructions so I just tried to figure it out myself and it took me less than eight minutes to install. I love the ratchet to tighten technology. It&rsquo;s so much easier than pulling the strap. This is by far my favorite feature of this car seat as it required a lot less elbow grease to get the seat in and it is so much tighter than I was ever able to get my other car seats. It doesn&rsquo;t move at all!! I love that this car seat is truly all in one and can be used from a neonate to a big kid! The fact that it breaks down to a booster only is awesome. The sensor tech technology is cool and easy to use. I don&rsquo;t think I would purchase a car seat just for that reason but it is a cool feature. I did receive this product free through Stella Product Testing but honestly I would buy again in a heartbeat and plan to recommend it to my pregnant friends! Hearing that it was in all in one car seat and would last 10 years really intrigued me. This car seat looks very sleek and I loved how it had a snack cup holder and drink holder. This will prove to be very helpful on those long car rides! This car seat is pretty bulky and that was one drawback I found. When I had it installed as a forward facing car seat it was hard for my other children to get around it in the vehicle as it sticks out a decent amount. My 2 year old loved it though and found it to be pretty comfortable! It was fairly easy to install and the ratchet system was great! It was so nice to use that and not kill your arms trying to get the carseat tight. I also installed this carseat as a high back booster for my almost 6 year old. He thinks it is pretty comfortable but when he tried to buckle his seatbelt the seat itself is pretty tippy because it&rsquo;s so big. That&rsquo;s really the only downside I found is how bulky it is. I absolutely love that you don&rsquo;t need to buy multiple car seats though and it will last 10 years! This seat is definitely a long term seat. My child is incredibly tall and slim, so longevity is a big thing for me. The ease of use, the comfort, the height, the installation... all were great and easy in my book! When installing the seat, I was a bit bothered that I had to install it using the back anchor instead of lower seat anchors based on the weight. But it was not tricky or difficult to install it otherwise. The ratchet feature for the anchors was very interesting and incredibly useful. The standard pull to adjust anchors are DIFFICULT to get tight. I just wish that they had one of these ratchet on the back anchor as well.... this one is the most difficult for me and have to work some more to get it snug and tight. The sensor safe tech app was very interesting and useful for parents in need of this feature... my child says she's connected to the wifi when she sees it blink. With the prevalence of children left in the car, and with summer coming up, this feature could and will be a game changer for many parents in need. I really loved the ability to remove the bottom booster seat entirely from the base. it was very convenient to get underneath there to fix the straps and what have you, but when I am ready to switch my child to a no back booster this will DEFINITELY be CLUTCH! What an incredible product. Out of the box first thing I noticed was the very stylish design. Second thing is the heft. It&rsquo;s a little weighty but that&rsquo;s actually a good thing. Once installed it starts in place nicely unlike cheaper/lighter car seats we have owned in the past. Installation was quick and easy compared to other seats we have used. Use the LATCH system. Ratchets work nicely. Very sturdy. Takes up a good amount of space on the seat but truly looks like a throne for your child. Material looks quality and seems easy to clean. Two cup holders are a must for a car seat. Why any come with one I&rsquo;ll never know. Buckles are solid, easy enough for a parent but your kid won&rsquo;t remove easily. Love the fact this is a 4 stage convertible. It will grow with my child and I will not have to worry about it being outgrown or needing to purchase a new seat or booster down the road. Have not had the opportunity to try out the next stages but I expect them to fill our needs. My only complaint would be the packaging of the item. Seat arrives fully assembled yet unprotected by any packing material in a fairly thin cardboard box. Our box arrived damaged but luckily the seat was not. Buying car seats can be stressful and time consuming. The longevity of this car seat is rewarding and time saving. The Sensorsafe tech and app is also a rewarding feature of this car seat. Being a parent is a full time job. Having features on a car seat that make your child safer and your life easier is a bonus. My two favorite features of this car seat would be its level of comfort and its longevity. The adjustable head rest and the soft material makes a comfortable ride for ones child. If car travel is a daily activity for you then this car seat would be a great fit for you. Your child will be safe and comfortable for years to come. The one con to the All4One DLX Kingsley 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is the ratchet system to secure the seat. It made install difficult. The rachet system is a difficult position behind the car seat. As soon as I got it I was impressed with the sleek design, the padding, and the fact that it can be used for any size child from 4-120 lbs blows me away. It was fairly easy for me to set up and install in the car - the instructions on using the ratchet system to attach it to the seat were a little confusing to me but the how-to video by Evenflo was very helpful. I&rsquo;m not very experienced in installing car seats without the seat belt and I&rsquo;m not very strong but I was able to do it by myself without an issue. The little handle on the ratchet attachment that&rsquo;s used to tighten the car seat and make sure it&rsquo;s secure was easy to use and I feel comfortable knowing my child is safe when he&rsquo;s in this seat. I&rsquo;m currently using the seat in the forward-facing mode for my son who is almost 3, and I&rsquo;m excited that it can grow with him and can even be converted to a booster when he&rsquo;s older. I haven&rsquo;t had to clean the car seat yet but I was very happy to see that it is made to be easy-to-clean when it&rsquo;s time to remove the fabric! I&rsquo;ve been impressed with the SensorSafe program so far - I get an alert on my phone and watch every time I latch my son into the car seat, and since I live where it&rsquo;s cold I also get alerts when the temperature is critically low on the seat. Setup with the SensorSafe app was easy and it showed me how to send the link to my husband, as well, so he can download the app and be connected to the same car seat. As my son gets older and figures out how to unlatch himself I know this will be a key feature to keep him safe while the vehicle is moving. Another fun surprise and added benefit of this car seat is the two cup holders and the extra little snack-holder option that can be placed in one of them! Overall, my favorite features of the car seat are the versatility, longevity, and installation system! The ability to use the seat for so many years is a huge draw for me, since I am big on saving money (without skimping on safety!) for children's items. Out of the box it comes ready in the rear-facing configuration as far as straps and ratcheting system goes. I set it up for our forward-facing toddler and it was quite a bit of manual reading and figuring out what goes where. It was a semi-lengthy process to get it set-up just right, but not too frustrating or confusing to figure out as long as you give yourself time for the process. The ratcheting system works well and is easy enough, but in the end I decided to go with the lap belt method for quicker in and out of the vehicle (especially quick if sharing the car seat between vehicles). The Sensorsafe tech is definitely a plus if you want that added peace of mind about the potential of accidentally leaving your child in the car. Although I did not get the chance yet to test it out on a hot day (it is still quite cold here in the midwest!), I could see it providing a lot of relief just in case something went wrong. The app set up was a bit lengthy in my opinion, but if the tech is something you find important it would be worth it. I don't personally value that part of the seat for my everyday use, but I would find it very helpful if a babysitter or grandparent was driving my child around as you can set it up to send alerts to emergency contacts' phones as well. My favorites of this car seat: I like that this car seat gives you a lot of removable comfort attachments such as extra head rest padding and padding for the straps. They are easy to add or take away and allowed me to see what my son preferred without much hassle of taking them back off. The color I received is a sleek black, and I like that it looks modern and fresh, and not at all baby-ish. The cup holders are great, and I love that they are removable. In past car seats the built in cup holders can feel like they are in the way of maneuvering the child in and out of the seat, but being able to take these off so easily eliminates that potential nuisance-- and that is a big one in my book when toddlers can often be difficult to get into their seat at all! Drawbacks I encountered: There have been very few drawbacks to the seat so far that I have found. The only things I found mildly frustrating are: the set up-- it took longer than I would have liked switching from rear-facing mode to forward-facing because of all the parts involved. Because it has so many modes (birth through booster seat) it has a lot of removable parts and putting them back together after adjusting everything was a tad frustrating. The other drawback for me is that the straps sit a little close together than my son's old car seat and he definitely noticed. He seems to feel a little more constricted in this seat, and often screams when I first pit him in it. I think he will get used to it over time, but for now it has been irritating for the both of us. Overall I think this is a great car seat and would highly recommend it for the price and versatility! It looks great, and will be safe for my child(ren) to use for many years to come! It's also very user friendly - if you lose the manual, don't worry, it has most of the important info and instructions somewhere on the seat itself. I like the Sensorsafe tech in the chest clip and the app that goes with it. I love that it tells me when it's too hot in the car, or if my child has unbuckled, or even if I've left my child in the car (I walked 15 feet away, while leaving my husband in the car with the kids, to test it). I don't really like that the app is always up as a &quot;not connected&quot; notification on my phone when the seat is not connected (that's all the time you're not in the car). The ratcheting system is truly awesome though- it makes securing the base so easy! However, I found myself wishing there was more slack on the anchors. Since the base is so large, I had trouble getting the hooks attached to the car. Keep in mind, this is not a compact car seat. I was getting it set up for a forward facing child using the 5 point harness which i feel is safer. You can't use the LATCH system with a child weighing over 40lbs, so I had to figure out how to use it with my car's seatbelt. My daughter loves that it has double cup holders and I love how easy it is to convert it into a backless booster for my other daughter. It's amazing that this seat can last up to 10 years. For reference I installed the seat forward facing (over 40lbs) in a Mazda sedan. I&rsquo;ll begin with the pros: *10 year all stages convertible seat * Easy ratchet system (I didn&rsquo;t use, but the correct way to use it was obvious, and I did test how easy it was to use.) * Washable (and easy to take off!) * Plush/Comfortable * Easy install and adjustment * Sensorsafe Tech - I think this is an exciting feature. I&rsquo;m not using it yet because my son is 4 and very vocal, but as soon as he starts to figure out how to unlatch the seat, this will be in heavy use. I would definitely use it for a younger or less verbal child. Cons: I have one con and unfortunately it would be a deal breaker for me if I had purchased this. The bottom latch is difficult to use - at least from all the angles involved in a car&rsquo;s middle seat. My husband also said it was difficult without knowing it was already an issue for me. It&rsquo;s both difficult to buckle and unbuckle - even without the crotch cover (which just makes it infuriating). I think the clips are too lightweight/small and the button is awkward/requires a certain/angle pressure. General Notes: I installed this in the middle seat of a sedan. I have convertible seats from two other brands and the size is comparable to the others. It would be a tight fit if I was installing forward facing in the side seats or with a taller driver, but still doable and expected for this type of seat. Overall, this would be my favorite of the seats I own for the Sensorsafe tech, ease of install/adjusting, and seat comfort, but the difficulty in using the latch makes it so I can&rsquo;t recommend the seat over others until this design flaw is fixed. I love that we can use this for all our next carseat stages, I hate having to keep buying a new seat once you hit the next milestone. The material is also nice and dark and is super easy to remove, so I am not worried about it looking gross after my kids put it through the wringer! I installed it with the latch system (both my kids are under 40 lbs) and it was literally the easiest installation I have ever done. It took maybe 30 seconds and not only was it installed, it was nice and tight. I did download the Sensorsafe app and plan on using it during the summer when I know the back of my car can get hot. My only complaint is when setting up the seat, I had to move the buckle to the outer position and that was a little confusing and cumbersome. But, it's not like you do this all the time, so it really wasn't a huge deal to me. I would probably just make it a little more accessible without having to remove part of the bottom of the seat. It's surprisingly lightweight in comparison to our previous chair which is good but made me slightly anxious. While handling it during installation I was a little concerned as it seemed flimsy in certain areas, mainly the headrest, but after comparing it to our previous chair it seemed similar enough to put me at ease. I honestly think it's designed well to hold up over time while being comfortable, I just always second guess when it comes to my son's safety. It feels very sturdy once installed so I think it will hold up well over time. Speaking of installation, it was a straightforward process with no major issues. We weren't able to utilize the ratcheting system in our vehicle but I did tinker with it a little and it seems like a great solution if you're able to do so. As for the Sensorsafe safety system, we are a little past the need for it at age 4 (my son never fails to remind us when he's hot or still in the car) but we did test it out. Downloading the app was a very simple process and it connected to our seat quickly. You get notifications about the car temp, whether the seat is buckled, and even when you walk far enough away from the car without unbuckling the child. All this functionality would've been incredible when he was a baby. Although we try to stay keenly aware of when he's in the car and buckled, having this as a backup would certainly have given us extra peace of mind. This ratchet system also makes taking the car sea out for whatever reason very easy as well. When it comes to things for my child, I love anything that grows with my child. This car seat is used from rear facing at birth to front facing all the way up to be used as a booster seat. On average with correct use this can be used for up to 10 years! My favorite thing about this seat, is the sensor safe chest clip that connects to your smart phone via Bluetooth through an app. This sensor will let you know if the temperature is ideal for your child, will alert you if the chest clip comes unbuckled, and will alarm you if the chest clip is still buckled and your phone is out of range from the Bluetooth sensor. In the case of an emergency, if your child is still in the car you can have the app set up to alert family members of your location. I think the best part was the ratchet system to tighten the seat down. It was really easy to use. I wish all carseats came with this because it's the tightest I've ever been able to get a carseat in rear or forward facing into my Forester. I was definitely intrigued by the Bluetooth capabilities of this seat. It will be helpful to know if our daughter is staying buckled, if I need to cool the vehicle down more, or to remind us to take a break during longer road trips. I'm hoping I never have to use the notification that I left my daughter in the car, but we all know it's happened to others. I had set up the sensorsafe app before installing the seat into my car, which was pretty simple. After the seat was installed, I headed back into the house with my phone. I started to get alerts that my child was in the car, which she was not. We made sure the clip was not fastened and that nothing was in the seat. I'm not sure if the seat was installed too tightly or what, but I had to turn off the notifications since it would not stop. I will have to contact support if it continues. Some nice bonus features I enjoyed are the easily removable seat cover and two cup holders with a small removable snack tray. I especially love that this car seat will transition with us for up to 10 years. I won't have to spend more money when our daughter is ready for a booster. I really loved the ratchet tightening method for the anchors, and the pull strings to release the anchors. Zero struggle. However, I ran into some difficulty when it came to installing forward facing. I think a huge part of the issue was that the ease of setup (ratchet, guidance and instructions), were only on one side of the seat. If I had realized that in time, I would have installed this seat before the one next to it, leaving myself access to all the nice features that make set up a dream. So, lesson learned. The SensorSafe smart clip is a really cool feature! I don&rsquo;t know how else to say that. It&rsquo;s really cool. The app for your phone is easy to navigate and read at a glance. I particularly like the temperature read out letting me know how long it takes to regulate the back seat so I don&rsquo;t turn down the AC or heat too soon. It took a couple tries to figure out how to make the app quit announcing I had a &ldquo;child in car&rdquo; when I got out of the car (leaving it running with my husband in the driver&rsquo;s seat). But once I sorted that out I really liked the idea that I wouldn&rsquo;t be able to accidentally forget my child in the car. I rate this feature an A+. The only real difficulty I&rsquo;ve encountered is getting the seat covers off to wash, and then put them back on. I like the idea of the features and I immediately noticed that it is a bit lighter weight than the other convertible carseats we've had. It also has handles for carrying at the top back - not a hugely important feature, but it makes it easier to haul around. When my son saw it he immediately commented that he likes the cupholders. The main boast of this seat seems to be the versatility to use 1 unit from infancy to a booster seat. I have to admit, my first thought was that a carseat isn't an item where that level of versatility is a high priority for me. In the end, I find that I would rather have to purchase a few more specialized units rather than feel that the one unit I have sacrificed some quality or specialization. I'm really not sure this seat would work for us - we made extensive use of the separate seat and base in our infant seats. In bad weather we could put the baby into the seat indoors and then just click the seat into the car, we had a fitting for the seat on our stroller, etc. With the versatility of this seat, we lose some of that specialization. I have a 4 year old and another to be born in a few weeks, so I only tried this seat in a forward facing configuration for now, using the seatbelts rather than the ratcheting LATCH clips. I tried it in both of our vehicles, a 2018 Honda CR-V and a 2019 Toyota Tundra. I wasn't able to get it as tight as I would like in either vehicle. It may have been just tight enough to move less than 1&quot; at the belt path in the CR-V, but it definitely was not in the Tundra, and I spent significant time and effort trying to get it there. I've dealt with A LOT of carseats, and there are very few that I haven't been able to get &quot;car-shaking&quot; tight. I haven't fully analyzed why, but it is notable that unlike the other convertible seats I've seen, this one has no tensioning mechanism built into the seat. In addition, the angle of the seat itself seems to make it difficult to get enough leverage at the belt path to be able to pull the belt super tight. I was willing to use the seat for a short time in our CR-V, but the install was unsafe and unusable in my truck - I may try to find some tips and give it another try. Unfortunately, that was not the only frustration of note during installation. I also found that the tether belt adjustment slider block is unnecessarily large, which presents a problem when installing the seat in a truck, where the recommended installation has to pass through a loop on the back of the seat - this block was incredibly difficult to fit through that loop. Beyond that, the seat itself just doesn't feel very sturdy, which is unfortunate when trying to leverage it into place for a seatbelt installation with no tension assist. The plastic pieces on the upper sides popped off with even the slightest touch while I was trying to maneuver the seat, my arm pressed slightly on the headpiece and I heard a popping, and the seat base itself seemed to move quite a bit separately from the rest of the unit - presumably the part that will later be used independently as a booster. This seat also includes a chest clip with a host of features like warnings when the child opens the clip or if the clip is latched when you're away from the vehicle (child in car). These features seem pretty cool, but my 4 year old has been in many different carseats at this point, and we've never had an issue with him trying to unlatch them. I noticed the first time that I used it that this chest clip is much easier to open than any other... It's a simple button push, a nice little silver outlined button that pops the clip when pressed. My son immediately unclipped it without any issue. I installed the app and set it up - it requires location tracking to always be on, which I really don't want to have on my phone. To that point, the feature that likely necessitates this - the &quot;Child in car&quot; warning, seemed spotty at best. I left the clip connected while my son and I went to the park - I got the first warning and saw the countdown for the second... then nothing. Overall, the app got pretty annoying with notifications that weren't actually meaningful and I uninstalled it. I can see why it would be helpful while driving though, since the latch is so easy to open, it's very possible that it would happen. Overall I really wanted to like this carseat. The idea of a single carseat that can handle all of the phases where one is needed without having to break the bank is nice. The idea of an app that can give peace of mind about not only monitoring that the seat is latched but also gives a warning if an exhausted parent walks away with a kid in the seat is great. Based upon what I have experienced, it is a car seat that checks the boxes for all of my most desired features. I love this because I am a mom of 2 school aged boys and a newborn girl. In addition to being a busy mom, I have a full time and a part time job. We live a considerable distance from most towns and cities which equals extended times spent in the car seats. I mention this because these details play a huge part in car seat choices. My number one aspect I look for is a simple installation. Of course safety is my number one concern with my children but I believe safety is directly related to ease of installation. The All4One is very easy to install with the ratchet system on the latch. I simply clicked the latches by pushing them into my seat and the twisted the ratchet to tighten. It made me very confident that I have a correct and secure install. When the time comes to uninstall the seat there are red tabs that pull to release the latches. I don&rsquo;t have to deal with pulling straps tight, loosening a slider, or pressing an impossibly stuck button to get the seat out of the car. The leveling system is also easy to understand as opposed to other seats where you have to get a line on the seat parallel to the ground. (Picture included). Another element I want in a car seat is longevity. My children alternate between 3 different vehicles during a week with school/daycare pickup and drop off. That can mean up to 9 different car seats that need purchased every time they are grown out of. That is a lot of trial and error with getting seats to fit into vehicles, a lot of waste, and most likely a higher cost. I also appreciate that with a few modifications, this seat fits my newborn as well as my 6 year old. As my husband said, &lsquo;The All4One weight limit would have fit me from birth until my senior year of high school!&rsquo; A third component I choose to look for is comfort. This seat is well padded. I primarily used it for my 7 pound newborn and she stayed seated upright with no problems leaning to the side. It also has padding around the crotch buckle for less rubbing and pinching. While I did not place my older sons in the car seat I did adjust it to their setting and it seemed very padded and comfortable. Another notable detail that caught my attention is the SensorSafe tech and app. This genius clip/sensor relays info to an app on my phone. It checks temperatures and alerts if the seat is too hot or cold, it alerts if the chest clip is unbuckled at any time, reminds if the child has been in the seat too long, and best of all it alerts if I walk away from my car while the chest clip is still buckled. If I do not respond to the very loud and clear alert about the buckled clip within 3 minutes the app sends out emails to designated family or friends with the location of my vehicle. With the recent change of routine due to our added family member this feature gives me a huge peace of mind. A few other perks are worth noting too. The seat cover is easy to remove for cleaning. There are brightly colored tags and symbols indicating where to detach and attach the cover. The zipper system seems simple to use. The harness does not have to be rethreaded as your baby grows. There is a easy to use handle at the top that pulls up for the next harness setting. It has 2 cup holders and a detachable snack tray. My sons love to fill their cup holders with drinks, snacks, and &lsquo;treasures&rsquo;. There are a few negatives with this seat but they are hard to find. First, the padding around the crotch buckle regularly gets stuck in the buckles. I had to hold the fabric out of the way while pushing the clips into the buckle. The seat is a little heavy and bulky to carry around. It&rsquo;s size also may hinder its ability to fit into smaller cars. It fits perfectly behind the drivers seat in my Toyota Sienna in a 3 across situation but I am working with a decent amount of room. All in all, this seat is working perfectly for my 7 pound newborn right now and until she is done with car seats. The most stressful thing for me (for any car seat system) has been installation, as I have never felt that I can get them as tight as I want them and usually feel much better when my husband can come give the extra tightening pull. This car seat solves that problem for me! With the ratchet system, I was able to get this seat super tight without even breaking a sweat, so this is by far my favorite feature on this car seat. The Sensorsafe technology is super cool and something I didn't even know I needed. However, with the chest harness, it clips/unclips via a push button so honestly, the first thing my daughter did was unclip it. Her previous car seat was more difficult to unclip ,so this was never an issue before this seat. However, the app provides peace of mind so you immediately know when it is unclipped so you can begin the bargaining with your toddler to keep it clipped. As for the 10-year longevity of this seat, it is very nice to know that you can buy one car seat and only one for your child, which saves money in the long run. I have not had to wash the cover yet but reading the manual, it seems easy enough to take the cover off for cleaning purposes. Also, I was able to go directly to the website and find helpful videos for installation that made a little more sense than reading the entire manual, which I will also refer to when ready to move to forward facing and again for the booster seat. All in all, I really do like this car seat and am 100% crediting it to the easy installation tightening system and Sensorsafe technology. The seat seems comfortable enough for her but not a huge difference from our previous car seat. I would recommend this to a friend. There are many features that make it a great option for families looking for quality, value, safety, comfort and longevity in a seat. First, the fact that the seat can be used for 10 years is amazing! I love that I am all set with a rear facing seat, forward facing, high back booster, to no back booster seat! This cuts down on what needs to be stored in the basement and saves lots of money over the years. We will be beginning to participate in foster care, and this will allow us to use one seat with any child in the age range we are choosing to bring in to our home! Second, there are little details that make this seat plush and comfy. THere is extra padding that is placed around the buckle that I've never had before in previous car seats!!! No more pinching the thighs of my children when I'm trying to snap them in and it is much softer for them! The shoulder pads/strap pads are very soft so that the pressure of the straps don't irritate her shoulders/skin. The seat padding is also very soft. Third, I'm also very excited that this seat is &quot;GREENGUARD&reg; Gold Certified for meeting low chemical emissions standards&quot;. When I read that in the description, I was so pleased. I hate exposing my child to so many chemicals so early in her life. The fact that the &quot;healthier&quot; material used is attractive as well as easy to clean is a definite bonus! Something we didn't love about the seat cover is that it was more challenging than ideal to remove the cover to wash. Fourth, installation of the seat in the car was a breeze. The &quot;EasyClick&trade; LATCH system&quot; made snug installation as well as ensuring my daughter would be safe reassuring. No more trying to leverage ourselves over the seat and pull the strap the right direction at the same time!! However, I must say that adjusting the buckle position in the seat for an almost 3 year old toddler was not as simple as some other seats we've owned. You have to remove the seat back from the base first, which is just inconvenient and slower, not difficult. Fifth, I love how the straps slide so smoothly when adjusting them. There's no catching or pulling that needs to happen. Sixth, the removable cup/snack holder is an added bonus. It is perfectly placed for my daughter to have her snacks at easy reach and easily cleaned whenever needed. Lastly, the Sensorsafe tech and app give an extra sense of security now that my daughter is improving her skills of getting out of things/straps. The bluetooth connection to my phone makes it easily heard in the car or if I'm right outside of it if the chest clip is removed or if temperatures get too hot or cold. I don't love that the phone can't be on battery saving mode when using that app, but the safety feature is worth it if you are into that type of tech feature.
