I bought it for my four month old son. He started out great with tummy time, but has increasingly grown to hate it, so I thought this bouncer would help develop his leg muscles. I also hoped it would help him to show more interest in playing. In the beginning, he would only spend short stints in it, but has grown to enjoy it more with age. In terms of assembly, the directions were not as clear as they could have been, but I managed. This product doesn't have lights and sound, but for the value it's amazing. I would definitely recommend it for younger infants. It is a big help for me to have free hands, but I had to make some checks before it was safe. I noticed that the legs aren't extra secured onto the base which could be an issue if your baby is a jumper. Also, one of the toys on the base had a sharp edge, which my baby scratched him self on the cheek with. I was able to fix the issues with it, but others may not.
