Somehow managed to put the seat together but the seat itself look made with very poor quality material. Not much cushioning. However the major concern was the safety and stability of the seat. The seat isnt stable at all and it topples if you are taking sharp turns. This happened many times and happened when seatbelts were on. Overall this booster has it all! One of my favorite features is the adjustable headrest. The headrest being adjustable is fantastic, not only because children verify in height, but this feature also allows the booster to grow with your child. The convenience of being able to quickly and seamlessly move this seat to another vehicle makes this the perfect seat for all the families on the go. It&rsquo;s also super easy for a child to get in and out of the seat without any hassle which definitely helps our family in the drop off/pick up line at school. This seat also has cup holders making it perfect for road trips, sporting events, and even every day errand running. The ability to easily remove the washable covers to keep your seat fresh and pristine is another positive. Our son fell in love with this seat! One thing that surprised me is how tight the fit was for the headrest/back assembly. I am a dad with a fairly physical job and connecting the headrest was like buckling an arching toddler into their seat...not easy. After attaching the cover with the elastic straps, my son put the seat in the car. This seat is lightweight. It&rsquo;s light enough for a child to move it in and out of the car when needed. The adjustable headrest was a nice feature, intuitive and easy to adjust with one hand making this a seat that can grow as the child grows. One of the things I liked about this seat is how the back and headrest wrap around the child adding one more layer of protection. My son liked the seat, although he said it was not quite as comfortable as his other one. I really liked this car seat as an option for the budget conscious. I was given this booster car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I struggled a bit to assemble this seat and to get the seat cover to attach properly. At times I struggle with grip strength so it was more difficult than it may be for others, but once I got it together I feel confident it is safely assembled and will be secure. I love that the seat cover easily comes off for washing if needed, but that ease then made it come off of the backrest easily too while assembling. I haven't had to wash it yet but I hope it washes up great. My favorite thing about this seat is that it is lightweight and easy to if you need to transfer between vehicles. My son really likes that it has 2 cupholders since some boosters don't have cupholders. I really like that the height is very easy to adjust - just grip the handle at the top and pull up or down. Being able to easily adjust the backrest is key, especially in case this needs to be used by multiple kids in a pinch it is easy to adjust to fit. The most difficult part was the force you need to snap in the headrest. It was not flimsy but I didn't want the plastic to break off if I pushed too hard. The padding and cover were not easy to put on because my fingers could not pull the elastic far enough. I had to use a screwdriver to loop it around. Once it was together, I did like that the color was very neutral and that there were a few cupholders on it for snacks and a water. My daughter is four so I only tested the full back booster but she seemed very comfortable in it and did not complain on our rides. The cupholders did not stick out too far and she was able to easily climb in and out of the seat. I love the concept of saving space and money by finishing some of the assembly myself; however, I still wouldn't have used the product if I didn't have someone who could help me assemble it. Had I not been required to provide a review of the carseat, I would have returned it to the store because it was too hard for me to put together. I was barely strong enough to click things into place and I never was able to figure out the 2 upper stretchy straps on the cover. I tried multiple times and never could tell what was supposed to happen with it from the sketch. Perhaps it would be helpful to have a QR code people could scan that would show a full assembly video. I don't know if it would have made a difference for me or not, but it took another person to mess around awhile before they were able to get it secured. We both also struggled with adding the black strap. Aside from the assembly issues, the set is great. My son loves it and likes being a &quot;big&quot; kid in the chair. I love that it's easy to move around from one vehicle to another and isn't so heavy like convertible car seats. I like the pattern and looks of the fabric. I prefer the darker colors, as they tend to hide the mess my kids make with food and markers in the car. We have three kids across in the back seat and this booster did not fit with that set up in our mid size suv, but we were able to fit all three across in our truck. She unfortunately didn&rsquo;t like how uncomfortable the car seat was. She did love going from a five-point harness to using the seat belt. I did like the neutral look of the black and white fabric that went well with the interior of our van. The headrest was very easy to adjust up and down to get the right fit for our child. The set up of the seat was actually very difficult for me. I do not have the strongest hands and found that putting all the back pieces together was time consuming and very hard for me to complete. I also had a hard time putting the fabric cover on because of two of the pieces that needed to be fed through holes. It took me almost 20 minutes just to get the seat together to install in the car. Installation was a breeze though because you place it in the car and have the seat belt ready to go for your child. My child loved the cup holders so she had places to put her drink and snack. It would be a great solution for someone who has two kids in a booster or if you occasionally drive around a friend/cousin/grandkid and need to quickly adjust on the go! I was able to adjust the height with one hand while my kids (4 and 6) were sitting in the booster. Install in the car is so simple that it is a great solution for our second vehicle that I swap seats around in depending on which of the three kids I&rsquo;m driving around. Although I&rsquo;m still using this with the headrest/backrest I did try removing the backrest and it was very simple and would be easy to transition to backless booster then back again if needed. The ability to have it in two pieces and how lightweight it is would make it great to travel with. The headrest seems just as protective as the headrest in our five point harness car seat which is reassuring as we make the transition to a big kid seat. My son was able to buckle himself in easily and the shoulder belt guide has things positioned perfectly every time which is a huge plus! He said it was comfortable and he liked the &lsquo;cool&rsquo; black and white pattern. My one struggle was in the initial assembly; the two pieces of the headrest definitely did require &lsquo;additional force&rsquo; as the instructions said and the pieces were awkward to position together by myself. Once I enlisted the help of another person it was easier to keep lined up and use the force needed to get it together. That said, the initial assembly is a one time scenario and once put together it is solid and sturdy so I didn&rsquo;t mind too much. The ease of adjusting after the booster is put together more than makes up for any assembly difficulties. I had a relatively easy time putting the parts together to form the actual booster seat, and although it came with a manual the process was pretty straightforward. We are currently using the high back booster setting and it meets expectations. My kid can put on the seatbelt by herself, and she is able to do so with ease. I feel that for its price the materials used were proportionate to it. It does the job and that is what is ultimately most important. The seat is lighter than our usual carseat so it is easy to maneuver in and out of the car, which is a plus factor if this will be the spare car seat or travel car seat. I was nervous about him switching from a 5 point harness to a regular belt because he still falls asleep in the car, but the posture of the high-back booster actually allows for him to put his head back and sleep naturally; he has yet to slump over while sleeping and that&rsquo;s a big win! Another feature I really like is how easily it comes out of the car. Since it sits on the seat without being hooked to anything, you can lift and go. It&rsquo;s also really lightweight and fairly compact, so traveling with it should be a breeze. I did take one star off because putting it together was a pain. My husband (a contractor) was grumbling the whole way through. The manual included didn&rsquo;t match our model (an old one perhaps), so he had to do some guess work to attach the headrest fabric to the frame. We think we got it right&mdash; so far it&rsquo;s been secure. All in all, it&rsquo;s a great budget friendly option, if you don&rsquo;t mind a little work on the front end. My favorite feature is how the seat belt stays in place. It's tucked out of the way without complicated holders. Also, the arm rests are perfect for tiny arms learning to buckle into and out of their seat.
