I have been anxiously awaiting the day we can safely use this product with my son. He is very small for his age and just barely meets the weight requirement for this booster seat, however he is far from being tall enough for this product&rsquo;s safety requirements. Upon receiving the Evenflo GoTime Sport Booster S, I immediately noticed how lightweight it is. So lightweight that I wonder how sturdy it will actually be in the car. However, because of this, it will be easy to install &amp; transfer to another vehicle as needed. I read through the installation instructions and everything is clear, concise, and easy to follow. Although I was initially a bit intimidated about having to assemble the car seat myself, it went fairly well and it only took me maybe 15-20 minutes to assemble it. However after reading the instructions several more times, I still have no idea what these tiny elastic hooks are for on the front of the seat. I have attached a picture of said elastic hooks. The fabric feels soft to the touch and it appears easy to take off &amp; clean, which will be often with a 5 year old. The padding on the seat of this booster doesn&rsquo;t feel overly cushioned, meaning that it may not be as comfortable on longer road trips. The adjustable headrest will be one of our favorite features when we get to install this product. It will insure that our precious cargo remains safe as we travel here &amp; there. The slim fit of this booster will allow more room in the middle seat between two car seats for our beloved dog Murphy to travel with us on road trips. The dual cup holders will certainly be my son&rsquo;s favorite features on this booster, a safe place to keep his water bottle and snack. My son is very excited to grow a few more inches so that he can use this &ldquo;big kid seat,&rdquo; as he calls it. It was easy to set up out of the box and easy to move in and out of vehicles. We only used it as a high back booster, but it looks to easily convert to a backless booster. The headrest was a little sticky/tough to adjust (I had to really pull on it to get it to move), but perhaps it will get easier with time. The grandparents loved the simplicity of it so much we ended up leaving it with them for easy use with the other grandkids. My son recently turned four and has started to outgrow his car seat so it was perfect timing to test this booster car seat. For the most part the seat was relatively simple to assemble and came with detailed instructions. I immediately noticed how light it was in comparison to his old car seat, it almost felt a bit flimsy. Because the seat is so light it was very easy to get the seat in and out of the car. The fabric that goes over the frame of the seat is rather thin and doesn&rsquo;t provide much cushion. The booster seat doesn&rsquo;t have latch connectors, so there&rsquo;s nothing to hold the seat in place when my son isn&rsquo;t in the seat. The seat has to be buckled at all times so it doesn&rsquo;t fly around the car. The concept of being able to adjust the height of the seat as your child grows is great, however there is no padding or fabric to cover the rigid plastic making it uncomfortable on the back. The overall look of the seat with the blue and grey geometric pattern is attractive but looking at the light frame and thin padding, it doesn&rsquo;t give me a sense of safety or comfort. The number one priority in a product like this is safety, and it just doesn&rsquo;t feel sturdy enough to give me peace of mind. You're supposed to start by putting the headrest into the backrest, but you really need two people because it's so awkwardly shaped that you can't just hold one side steady with one hand while trying to push the other side in with the other hand, and I don't have another person to help. However, even if I had another person, I'm not sure how to put it together because the holes are too small for the knobs that you're supposed to put into them. I think you're supposed to squeeze them together to push them through the holes, but I could not squeeze it hard enough to get them to go in even a little bit. Maybe somebody stronger would be able to make it fit, but I could not. You might be able to use just the booster seat without the high back backrest/headrest, but my daughter is still small enough that she needs the high back to stay safe. So I can't actually speak on comfort or safety, because I never got it put together for her to try out. I did need help assembling the headrest which was mentioned in the instructions. I was apprehensive to use the product based on the lack of LATCH car seat anchors to lock the booster in. The only method to keep the booster in place is the seatbelt. When your child is not in the car, you need to make sure the seatbelt is locked in otherwise the booster seat will move around while you are driving. We received the azure pattern that both my kids love. We needed an additional booster as my youngest is ready to move on from his convertible car seat. He is at the low range for weight for the product (40lbs). We have only used the product with the backrest attached. My youngest was able to sit comfortably with the should belt at an appropriate height for his size. He was very excited to use the regular seat belt independently instead of the harness he is used to. The seat belt was an appropriate height for his stature. This booster seat will be our go to for traveling since it is so light and easy to install. First things first: I was surprised at how small and light the box it came in was, but the seat was amazingly easy to assemble when I opened up the box. The fabric cover looks sharp and was immediately given two thumbs up by my 40-something-pounds 6-year-old. So far, so good! Getting it in the car was a piece of cake. As I said, this thing is VERY lightweight! My back definitely appreciates that in a car seat. It was also simple to adjust the headrest while using the booster in the highback mode. The lap belt sits just right across my son's lap when he's sitting on the booster, and he loves being able to strap himself in (he was still in a five-point harness just before this). The biggest pro to this seat, according to my son? It has not one but TWO cupholders! He enjoyed taunting his sister in her one-cupholder-seat about this. As for cons, there really aren't many I can see here, but I think this seat is probably best for short trips around town. It doesn't have much padding, so I don't think it would be comfortable on long road trips. It also doesn't have lower anchors, which is not uncommon with booster seats, but it means you have to move the car seat to the trunk or strap it in with the seatbelt when you're driving around without a kid so it doesn't become a projectile in a crash. Since there's no way to latch the seat into the car, it can also move around a bit when the kid gets in and out of the car. None of these drawbacks are serious, though. It is very lightweight so it is easy to move between vehicles if needed. The seat is also very easy to install, just put it in your back seat and make sure the seat belt strap goes through the hole for the shoulder. My 7-year-old is able to put on her seatbelt herself so she didn't feel like she lost any independence. My little one is four and has been expressing her frustration with the harness car seat she currently has. So I figured it was time for a booster &quot;big girl&quot; seat. This one is awesome and so easy to use. The only issue I had with putting it together was step one. I tried every way to connect those pieces but I just couldn't. I finally had to call my husband to my rescue. After that, the rest of the assembly took about 5 minutes to complete. This car seat is so much lighter than a harness car seat and so much more convenient to get her buckled and ready to go. I love the fact that it can grow with her height with the simple pull of a lever. This car seat has the comfort she needs and well as the safety. When she is big enough I can easily remove the back so it's just a seat. I think this will be the last car seat she will need. One of them got a nice long nap in it on a longer ride. The different modes are easy to switch in and out of, but the pad on the base pops out of place a little too easily. It was perfect timing as my daughter was ready to move into the booster. I have slight unease with graduating as I always want my children safe. The high back design and bumpers around the head are significant enough, though, to make me more comfortable with the transition. She loves the cup holders and her self-sufficiency with being able to do the seat belt by herself (and oh am I delighted to not have to fight with the car seat straps!) Since she is younger, we use the part of the booster that enables the seat belt to be used farther down on her body. This part is a bit clunky as you really have to manipulate the belt in order to get it to be pulled out far enough to click the belt and again you must pull it back to be tight enough. It is easy to move if you need to get it in and out of the car and we'll be able to take the back off when she gets to that point. Setup of the booster seat was a breeze once I figured out how to attach the headrest to the backrest. The instructions weren't kidding when it said extra force may be necessary to attach it. The fabric feels like it will withstand the future messes my child will create, spilling her drinks and ketchup on her lap during roadtrips. The adjustability of the headrest allows this seat to grow with her until she is ready to use the booster seat alone. The seat was extremely easy to set up and install, it took me (alone) about 10 minutes from opening the box and installing in my Pilot. The fabric is high quality and bright, yet gender neutral and not obnoxious. Adjusting the height with the adjustable headrest was easy and it worked smoothly. My daughter loved how easy it was for her to climb in the car, her convertible car seat was very cumbersome. I am still buckling the seatbelt since this is new to her, but she definitely could if she was more experienced. We also took a 4 hour trip and she was completely content and said she felt comfortable. We also love the duel cupholders, she has space for a drink and also other trinkets that always end up in the car! It was very easy to put together and set up. My daughter has previously been using a regular convertible carseat with 5 point harness and she really enjoyed this booster. She feels like a big girl riding in it and it sits a little higher than her regular carseat so she can see more out the window, which she really likes. For me as a parent, I do like that it's easy to put in and take out off the car, especially if we need to switch cards or leave it with the grandparents. It has extra padding on the sides that help give me peace of mind that my child has extra protection surrounding him. The seat itself has a thin footprint, which is great considering I still have three children in carseats and/or booster seats. The booster seat includes two cupholders which is very helpful. Assembling the seat was easy except for one step that required a lot of force. I feel as if it is securely together which will also provide great protection, should that be needed. The seat is lightweight and easy to move around. I love that this seat will grow with my child. Right now it is fully assembled but as he grows, I can adjust the seat back and even take the back off when he no longer needs it. This means I won't have to buy another booster seat -- ever! This was my oldest child's first time in a high back booster, he has been in his convertible car seat with the 5 point harness up until this point. As a parent, I was a bit nervous that the booster doesn't hook into the car's latch system since that is something I am used to in the convertible car seats. Putting it together was a bit of a challenge on my own. The directions were adequate, the plastic pieces on the back part of the seat were difficult to maneuver by myself. I required the assistance of my husband to help push the back seat part into the booster seat. The adjustable head rest does move around and the plastic seems a bit flimsy there. Putting the cover on after the pieces were put together was very easy. My son loves the way his booster seat looks, blue is his favorite color. I would say the color and padding is my favorite feature of this seat as well. I also like the two cup holders, however, it does make it wider and the cup holders are not removable to clean. The adjustable headrest was nice, but difficult to move up and down. My son reports that it is comfortable to sit in and he is able to use the car strap to buckle in himself. We were also able to install into the 2012 ford f-150z we&quot;ve had problems in oat with the headrest and the high back falling over, but this one was able to install without the high back tilting while driving. It works beautifully in both vehicle! It was easy to put together and the fabric comes off and goes back together easily for washing. So let's get to the details of this particular seat. First, the box it came in was light weight and easy to carry. Upon opening I immediately was drawn to the geometric patterns and not overly busy color scheme. It took me exactly 15 minutes to assemble myself, with the only small frustration being anchoring well enough to click the headrest to the back piece. Once assembled I read the manual and adjusted the head rest to my child's height in the house. The head rest adjustment handle is a bit tight, but I suspect that could ease over time. The seat is very light weight and was easy to carry outside and place in the third row of my mini van. My little one was excited to try the big kid seat and noted the padding on the back piece making them feel secure. I agree that this extra feature is quite nice and seems to provide extra protection in the event of an accident. Once buckled, the shoulder strap sat just where it should mid shoulder and the lap belt was snug and low around their hips. Being able to unbuckle themselves was a big hit for my kid too! If you're looking for an easy to assemble and transfer two mode booster seat that won't break the bank, I would highly recommend this model. It is safe, easy to use and attractive. This booster was easy to set up. I had a little trouble at first with the headrest pegs but once I figured that out the rest was fine. I like that this booster seat is lightweight and easy for me to get in and out of the car. It is slim fitting so it fits in only one seat. It leaves plenty of room in the back seat for other passengers. It has a one-handed adjustable headrest that is actually pretty easy to use with just one hand. I like that it has two cup holders on it. One for my daughter's water and one for her snack. They are a good size, her bigger cup fits well in them. She can unbuckle herself which gives her a little bit more independence. I like the seat belt latch/slot that the shoulder belt slides through so it fits her perfectly. My daughter did say that it was a little uncomfortable. It is her first time out of the five point harness car seat so there might be a little adjustment phase. The headrest adjusts easily with one hand and has multiple settings to find one that fits your child perfectly. All of her cups and water bottles fit well in the cupholders- which is very important for a 5 year old!
