We (me, hubby, and both kiddos) are loving this carseat/stroller combo. It makes it so easy to quickly pop into a store/daycare without disrupting my sleeping kiddo. We have an infant carseat that fits into a full size 1to2 to a stroller, and this Shyft DualRide is SO MUCH EASIER. Installation in our van was easy - pretty much the same as any other infant seat base. Feels secure and safe in our van. I really like that you can keep the stroller in the car and not drag the dirty wheels all over our house. Opening the stroller is easy, but folding it back up takes some practice. It took me a few days for it to be a smooth movement, and not jostle kiddo around too much. My kiddo seems snug and comfy in the infant seat - lots of cushioning for him. The handle height adjustment is nice too. My 2.5 year old daughter likes keeping it on the low setting, so she can easily push her brother around! The SensorSafe technology alerts are interesting too. I do like the added safety feature but I haven't quite gotten used to the alerts on my phone every time I buckle my kid in the seat. We did use the temperature one once - outside at a picnic, it went off because he was too hot. Very thankful for that!!! While we love the stroller, I do have two small complaints... first, it's somewhat heavy for me to get the carseat/stroller in and out of the car. I am average height and fairly strong. But I struggle a bit to get the carseat and stroller up out of the base in our minivan. The extra height of the stroller and a bit extra weight, makes it harder compared to other infant seats we've used. To be fair, my kiddo is also 20 lbs, so that doesn't help either :) And I don't have to carry him in the carseat much - I can just push him! Secondly, I wish there was some kind of bag or storage compartment for the stroller. I know you can buy a storage basket separately, but it would be nice if it came with one. I often just grab the kid/phone/wallet, and quickly realized I didn't have a place to toss my things. The cupholder that it comes with is also useless... it gets knocked off constantly trying to put the carseat in/out of the car. Overall, love the carseat/stroller and would definitely recommend to new parents who want a quick and easy way to transport kiddo out of the car. Honestly, we'll probably keep the baby in this seat until he hits the size limits, since it's so convenient. When researching baby products to purchase, finding something multi-functional that can make life a little easier is so important to our family. This Evenflo infant car seat and stroller combination does just that! Safety is always number one and this car seat exceeded my expectations as far as features to keep my little one protected in the car. Its anti-rebound base helps to absorb forces in the event of a crash, and it even has a feature called SensorSafe that connects to Bluetooth and can alert you to unsafe conditions for your child. I thought this was such a neat feature I haven&rsquo;t seen before in other car seats! The superior quality of the materials is obvious, the design is super stylish, and installation was a breeze! And now onto my favorite feature, this car seat quickly and easily converts to a stroller! I cannot express how convenient this made running errands and getting around with both my girls. Previously, I would struggle with the decision to lug the heavy stroller out of the trunk, and I often would decide it was more trouble that it was worth. There are many features I love about this all in one stroller- the smooth ride, the cozy space for my baby and even the lightweight standalone car seat! Setup was relatively easy and once you get the hand of what levers do what daily operation is a piece of cake. It also came with a parent cup holder which is nice because attaching any sort of bag on the handle wouldn&rsquo;t be possible while keeping it easy to carry/ install. Initial install into the car was very easy and learning which lever released what was pretty quick to learn- highly recommended fully reading the setup guide and watching a video or two. My biggest complaint with this all in one stroller is getting it out of the car. If the wheels are not PERFECTLY aligned it&rsquo;s a struggle because you have to pull different handles try to reposition it slightly and try again to get it out. I&rsquo;m a shorter person and it takes a lot sometimes to get the whole system out. This is both frustrating and also concerning from a safety perspective because if the system isn&rsquo;t attach right in an accident that could be dangerous so I always end up triple checking to make sure things are as locked as possible. I also don&rsquo;t love how easily the front of the car seat pulls up- I&rsquo;ve tried clicking it into place and it just never stays down. The sunshade is also taller than the handlebar so you have to jam it under to lay it flat. We have always wanted to try an infant car seat and stroller combo. The functionality is honestly like a dream come true for me- having an infant car seat and a stroller all in one. I just wish it was easier to use, didn&rsquo;t take up so much space in the car and not so heavy. The Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo was reasonably easy to use after some practice. I did feel like it was clunky to use when transitioning from car seat to stroller and back again. It wasn&rsquo;t a very smooth transition and sometimes woke my daughter up mid nap. The Shyft is also very heavy. However, my daughter always looks so comfortable in the Shyft and naps well in it on the go (she has two older siblings that are in tons of activities). I was impressed how easy it was to install the Shyft car seat with the base in our car. We used our seatbelt to install the base, and it was very straight forward. The anti-rebound base and SensorSafe chest clip were added safety features that I really appreciated. My daughter looked very secure in the seat, and I felt very comfortable having her in the Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo. The base and Shyft are very large and barely fit in our BMW X3. We had to move the passenger seat up quite a bit to make it fit. I think the Shyft would be best suited for a large SUV or minivan. My favorite feature of the Shyft was having an infant car seat and stroller in one. It&rsquo;s so, so convenient to go from car seat to stroller so easily. However, the Shyft is pretty clunky and heavy and takes up so much space in our car. I loved the safety feature of the Sensor Safe chest clip. It offers peace of mind, knowing baby is safely buckled at all times. The only downside is that it is quite heavy. However it would be hard to make it weigh any less and still feel sturdy and safe. I used the stroller on sidewalks, grass, and even gravel. Installing the base is so quick with the seatbelt method and the lock strong arm. There is also a great anti rebound bar on the base for added safety which is a huge plus! Lightweight and easy to push and shockingly easy to install in my car. It did not push very well on ground that wasn't totally flat, like cobblestone or broken asphalt. I wish there was a bit more shock absorption so that my infants head wouldn't have been bouncing around so much. As a car seat this was one of the lightest I've ever seen. We used this car seat to bring our baby home from the hospital and the lightweight aspect was great for post partum limitations. I loved having it transition from a car seat to a stroller. It was fantastic to not have to lift a heavy car seat or unbuckle my child. However folding the stroller was not very intuitive and involved picking up the entire stroller which I did not like and involved me watching videos from the manufacturer multiple times. Installing the car seat with the base was one of the easier car seat installs I have had to install. I did not like the SensorSafe chest clip. The app constantly went off complaining that my child was still in the car when I was pushing them in the stroller after taking it out of the car. My husband and I were losing our minds and the app was so loud it could easily wake my newborn baby. The feature does not make much sense in a car seat thay becomes a stroller and encourages the user to keep their infant in the car seat when taking them out of the car. I kept hoping the chest clip battery would die. My favorite feature was the lightweight stroller. I love using the infant seat for as long as possible because it is so much easier that taking my little one in and out of a convertible seat, but those infant seats get so heavy. This product solves that problem in a really awesome way. The wheels attached turn the car seat into a stroller with very minimal effort. Plus, I don&rsquo;t have to keep an extra stroller in my trunk! The fact that this is all in one saves me so much room in my trunk, which is a valuable space saver considering I also have two older kids. The seat itself seems like good quality. It is quite nice looking and provides nice comfort for my baby. I actually feel like it is a lot safer than our old newborn seat thanks to the anti-rebound base. This is something that I&rsquo;ve never had before in a car seat and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. My only issue with this stroller car seat combo is the price. We used the car seat and stroller combo with our two month old son, who weighs approximately 11 lbs. Install of the base was very easy and straightforward. I had it in the car ans snug and secure within minutes. We loved the option to leave the wheels (stroller portion) attached to the base in the car when we only needed the car seat portion. When going to run errands or shop at the grocery store, we loved how easy it was to just get him out of the car and straight into stroller mode. It's so nice to not have to give up trunk space because of a big bulky stroller. I will be honest that it does take some getting used to, especially since I am quite petite. The handle on the car seat is quite tall so it takes some finessing to get it into the car and out. I also would have loved if they had some notches on the side of the car seat to keep the seat belt clipped off to the side so that it would be easier to get baby in and out of the car seat. Going from car seat to stroller mode is really easy and we love how the handle extends. Going from car seat to stroller mode took a couple tries but got easier the more we used it. We love the safety features such as the anti-rebound bar and the SensorSafe clip. The clip and the accompanying app gave us great peace of mind, especially since we are so sleep-deprived. We get alerts if the clip gets undone or if the phone leaves the car with the car seat still in the car. Overall we are very happy with this system and find it to be a must-have when going out with a newborn. Is a little tricky figuring out the button for opening the stroller vs closing the stroller and coordinating with the appropriate handle location, but after a few tries I got the hang of it. The car seat in general is good quality. I love how you can take all the material out and wash it with ease. The SensorSafe chest clip is a neat feature and offers additional peace of mind. It was easy to install in my car as well. I also like that the strap that adjusts the tightness of the straps has a little elastic strap so you can easily tuck away the excess slack. The style is sharp- I was given the all black seat with black stroller/carry handle. Cons: the material of the car seat seems good, not great. I couldn&rsquo;t find any clips or area to tuck the straps open to make it easier to put your little one in there and not sit on or hide the straps when you put them in. Closing down the stroller to shift from stroller to plain car seat is a little tricky and could use a smoother system. I think after I used it multiple days in a row it did get easier but I still find myself needing to use my foot to get it folded down completely. We were able to use this product when we traveled on vacation and went to the zoo. It was nice not needing to pack a stroller to save on space and having the ability to transform into a stroller whenever we needed it. The ability to keep the stroller wheels in the car seat base and then remove the stroller combo directly from the base and open it up is amazing. I&rsquo;ve found myself using this car seat as a stroller all of the time, and it&rsquo;s really nice to not carry the car seat around as often with a heavy 6 month old strapped in. I find converting it into a stroller and back has taken a little bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it it&rsquo;s pretty easy. I also really like that it came with shoulder pads for the straps to protect my baby&rsquo;s neck, and it seems quite comfortable for her to ride in. The anti-rebound base is really great, and it was easy to install in my mini-van. While I love this car seat for the convenience of the stroller option, there are a few things that grind my gears a bit. The harness-adjusting headrest is a bit clunky. It&rsquo;s not easy to slide up and down, and nearly impossible to adjust it while the baby is sitting in the seat. Tightening and loosening the straps on the baby also isn&rsquo;t very smooth or easy. The Sensor Safe chest clip is a really cool idea and I love the safety of it, but in practice it is a quite a nuisance. Once the chest clip is closed, if your phone is more than about 15 feet away from the seat, you start getting notifications that you left your baby in your car. You can still be in your house with your baby in view and the notification will go off. If someone else is pushing the baby in the stroller and they don&rsquo;t have your phone, you&rsquo;ll get a notification. This is also inconvenient because there is no place to store your phone on the stroller so you can&rsquo;t keep it with the baby. You can stop these notifications if you open the chest clip, but that is not safe if you&rsquo;re intending to keep the baby in the seat for any reason. The words &ldquo;Sensor Safe&rdquo; on the clip have also worn off with just a few weeks of use due to my baby&rsquo;s reflux spit up, so I&rsquo;m hoping the clip is waterproof! The car seat alone is a little bit heavier than the other infant seat I&rsquo;ve used, but not a deal breaker. It also seems like a more narrow fit for the baby. Comparing it to the other car seat I own from a popular brand, her feet also dangle further at the end of the seat and I get a little worried I&rsquo;m going to accidentally pinch her feet on the anti-rebound bar when I&rsquo;m clicking her seat into the base. The car seat with the wheels attached is incredibly heavy, though I haven&rsquo;t found myself carrying it that way at all, I just immediately pull the latch to convert it into the stroller. The chest clip provides one more level of reassurance for our baby&rsquo;s safety, be that car temperature, her being buckled and clipped into sear and ultimately provides us reminders if an issue arises. The car seat stroller combo to use is fair easy to use, but it takes practice to understand all of the logistics to transition between functions. While this may be a bit irritating, it us important to ensure safety of the carseat and stroller. It is difficult to collapse the stroller back to the carseat with baby in it. Again, lots of practice (and patience). It was easy to install but it is a larger unit. The carseat is larger than what we would want to use in our car, but it fits in our SUV just fine. I never could be bothered to bring a stroller for these instances, but having one built in has been life changing! Huge added bonus, (although also a must-have in my opinion) my baby doesn't wake up when the wheels drop down to become a stroller or when we clip the wheels back in to be a car seat. The mechanics of the car seat/stroller are particular and take a minute to get used to, but once you figure it out, for instance, that the handle bar won't move back until the extension bar is down and fully clicked into place, then the use of the car seat/stroller is a breeze. Unfortunately, my package kept getting delayed so I have only had a few days with the Shyft DualRide. The concept and idea of this product is wonderful! Less items to have to worry about packing is always a plus! I installed the base immediately into my truck. It was extremely easy to do, and I found it to be easier than any I&rsquo;ve installed previously. My baby is 6 months old and fills out the seat pretty well, but still appears to be comfortable. The SensorSafe smart clip is nice to have for emergencies, but did become annoying if I left the area of the stroller and my wife was still with the baby, since it was linked to my phone. I love how large the canopy is. My baby can be fully shaded from the sun no matter what direction he is facing. I tried to show the canopy fully extended in the picture. I&rsquo;m sure it takes getting used to, but I have had a difficult time getting the stroller to fold back into a car seat. It has been frustrating and makes it seem like more effort than it&rsquo;s worth. That being said, it is also one of the easiest strollers to control and maneuver. It rides so smooth. Let me tell you, this Evenflo Shyft Dualride is it! Thank you so much to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wonderful product. First of all, super easy and straightforward setup. I absolutely love that it has a no-rethread adjustable harness and headrest. It completely takes away the hassle of adjusting the straps to the right height for your baby as they grow. A++ on that. I do wish there were little slots or something to hold the straps to the side/out of the way when initially putting baby into the seat but that's definitely not a huge deal. The base was incredibly easy to install as well with the latch system and the leveling adjuster and if the latch system doesn't work for your vehicle or your preference there are seatbelt installation options that are also easy and secure. Safety is top-notch on this. Excellent safety standards met and exceeded as well as additional functions within the seat such as the very sturdy anti-rebound base which puts my mind at ease in case of an accident. The integrated SensorSafe chest clip is also great in reducing my stress levels while in use, especially during summer when it gets so hot out. I'm always worried about baby getting too hot so the fact that it alerts me to this and other factors is huge. As far as the car seat stroller combo functionality, it performs very well. Once you remember which latch/place to push does what it's super simple. It took me a few times to get it down, but now it's so simple. Just pop it out and let the wheels down and we are off. No more going to the back to get the stroller out (which is taking up half of my cargo spac), then taking the seat out and attaching to the stroller and doing it all again when getting back in. Nope, no more of that hassle for me. I will say it's a little hefty with the wheels attached and takes a bit to get used to how to maneuver it in and out, but it being so simple to use in general and the convenience it provides makes it so worth it. I have already had people stop to ask me what it is because they see how easy it is to turn it into a stroller when I'm taking it out of the car. It pushes super easy on smooth surfaces and fits very well through small or tight areas. It's not great on bumpy/uneven surfaces such as cracked or broken concrete areas or rocky areas and I wonder how it will push with snow on the ground, however we took it to a soccer tournament and it maneuvered the grass and field area pretty well. The main reason I use it, though, is for around town, errands, shopping and etc and it's perfect for that. One of my favorite features that I was so happy about after receiving it, is that I can take the infant carrier out on its own and leave the wheels/legs connected to the base or I can take it out as a whole to use the stroller function. There are times here and there that I really don't need the stroller function so it's so convenient to have the option to just take the seat out by itself and not have to carry around the added weight of the wheels and such. It comes with the car seat, car seat base, and the detachable stroller base (that can be left in the base versus lugged in and out of the house/car). Additionally, it comes with a cup holder and a carry bag right out of the box; that means not having to spend more money. The instructions consist of a few detailed images that made it easy to configure in a matter of just a few minutes. The Sensor Safe clip is a wonderful piece of added technology that gives me added peace of mind with the great safety features it offers. The app was easy to connect and I like that I can choose which notifications I want to receive. I love that I don't have to compromise looks or functionality for safety. This combo has it all. The anti-rebound base and SensorSafe clip paired with Evenflo's high safety standards give me peace of mind when it comes to the safety and security of my child while it looks aesthetically pleasing. The quality of the car seat materials feels great. The handle is leather, the seat is well padded and soft. I especially love that the canopy is stretchy and breathable. However, while the canopy is huge, it does hit the carry handle when it's in the upright position. The no-rethread harness is a great concept. Lifting it from a car seat into the stroller position was a breeze. The maneuverability is smooth and I like that it is a compact stroller that is easy to shop and dine with. To me, this combo is a little on the difficult side to collapse; especially with a child sitting in the seat. Sometimes my son wakes up when I try to fold it down because it isn't the smoothest transition. I feel that it's a little bit heavy and you have to position it just right to get it collapsed. It does go from car seat to stroller a lot smoother. One thing I wish was different is that there are two brakes - one at the left wheel and the other on the right. Not a deal breaker, but can be inconvenient at times.
