I bought it for facing forward use only so I didn't try to install it rear facing. I wasn't able to install it with the SAU because the seat was still moving more than an inch after installation. I use the seat belt instead and it was much easier. The harness slide well but it didn't come with harness padding so my child claims that it's not very comfortable. I was disappointed by the quality of the fabric which makes the seat looks cheap.
