One for our 6 month old and another for our 18 month old. We were planning on going on a 12 hour road trip that we had made before with regular infant car seat, that resulted in a lot of crying and a bad experience. We decided we had to get some confortable car seats for the road trip this time, we went to a few stores to look around and when we saw this one we immediatly knew this was the one, with all the features. We were also going to get a boster one for our almost 5 year old, but was out of stock at the store we found these at, which was a different store than where we saw the display. The store we got them at did not have a dissplay, but had them in stock in the back room. We had to wait for a while because they were lost some where in the back room. After a long wait we finally got them, took them home. The installation was ok. The harness was just a little too short for our 2006 Honda Odyssey, which just took a little extra effort in the installation process. Once they were installed we took off on our road trip. We had no crying, the kids were comfortable in the new seats and we had a pleasent trip. We also use them for every day outings and there is no fuss. In fact they fall asleep quicker in the car seats than they do at home. I would highly recommend this car seat to anyone. Over the past month and a half our daughter has spent early mornings and long days travelling in the carseat with absolute comfort and ease. When the seat arrived we pulled it out of the box and my daughter immediately jumped into it and was ohhing and ahhing and trying to buckle herself in. The easy installation with the clips and tether were great, the belt is long enough to reach from any angle and easy to clip into the lower car anchors. Installation was easy and under 2 minutes, and assembly was even faster in our little Hyundai Accent. In our SUV it took a little longer as I am a short 5 feet and need to run around the car for the top tether to hook up and secure. Our daughter was ecstatic to ride in the car seat. The height allows her to see out all windows and the cup holders hold any cup she has aside of one with 2 handles. (no cup holder holds those). The buckle is easy to maneuver and I love the no fighting harness system, I don&rsquo;t have to rethread due to height and as she hit a small growth spurt the harness has been easy to adjust and maneuver. Tightening the tether is a breeze with the dial system, click click and it&rsquo;s done, even when she&rsquo;s all over the place and exhausted and fighting to get in the car I know she&rsquo;s safe and secure quickly and easily. I love that the dial is on both sides so no matter what side of the car the car seat is it&rsquo;s accessible both forward and rear facing. The two forward facing reclining positions are great, we can let her recline back and relax and she can sleep. To reline her is an easy pull of the latch and gentle push on the top of the car seat and it&rsquo;s done. No moving untethering, nothing just tighten the tether if need be. The car seat is big, we have a teenager at home as well so it really doesn&rsquo;t allow for a third person in the back seat. But I am more interested in the safety and comfort of our daughter than adding a third body to the back seat. Our daughter has had long trips, running around the city and drives out and about, she has gotten in and been comfortable in the seat with it being -10 Celcius and +20 or more. The seat has been cool and comfortable every time, when I pull her out she&rsquo;s not damp or sweaty from sitting in the seat. And when it&rsquo;s been cold the gel doesn&rsquo;t harden or get overly cold for her to feel like she&rsquo;s sitting on a seat that&rsquo;s too cold. The only change I would make to this car seat would be to add another little piece that holds the lower anchor belt to the car seat, so rather than sitting in the center of the seat it had one on each side to stop the lower anchor system from sliding through to one side or the other. In closing I am overly impressed with this seat, The weight of it and the sturdiness gives me peace of mind that the safety of our daughter was first and foremost, the ease of the installation and buckling her in each time lets me know that she is safe and secure and her grandparents are able to buckle her in without fail, easily and correctly each time. I would recommend this seat to anyone who is looking for a terrific car seat to grow with your child from infant to school age. My in-laws went out and purchased an Evenflo car seat to put into their Kia Rio and are ecstatic with how well it is built. We will be an Evenflo family for years to come and as our children grow we will pass that on. In a side note a I have posted about the car seat to my Mommy groups that I am a part of. We all have children who are between 23 and 28 months currently and have been together since pregnancy. There are over 700 members world wide with majority of us in the US and in Canada all of which are members of other mommy groups who have children are are expecting new additions to their family. I have recommended the Evenflo Truimph Procomfort a number of times and raved about it in the car seat forum we have had twice now. I will continue to promote your product as time goes on. My 6 month old has a Chicco infant seat and she sweats horribly, so this seat seemed like a good deal for the cost, especially with the Outlast fabric. So, here is my review. ( I ended up calling Evenflo today and they are sending a replacement pad. Hopefully the new one holds up better) Today my daughter rode in it for the 2nd time, and I noticed the stitching in the fabric by her feet is already fraying. It's actually sticking out maybe an inch in one spot and another spot is starting. It doesn't stretch well over the carseat where the feet are either. When installing rear facing, the fabric moves around so much, you have to keep trying to move things around to keep it in place. Just seems like it should be more durable (but as mentioned in other reviews, that could be why it is more affordable than the other seat with Outlast fabric). Installing was kind of a headache. I have an older mini van (2006), and installing this thing rear facing has been kind of a headache. I am short (4'11&quot;), and putting it behind my drivers seat rear facing is IMPOSSIBLE. The car seat hits the driver seat and cannot be installed at the proper angle, unless I move my seat up a few inches. I have it installed on the passenger side, and it seems to fit ok. We have to use a pool noodle or towel under the seat to keep it at the correct angle. It's a pain in the butt having to climb in the van to put her in the seat (I have the bench seats), but it's not the worst. I would for sure prefer to be able to install the seat behind the driver seat. Other viewers stated that the knob to tighten the belt was pushed hard against the seat. I found this happening to me as well. Also, to get to the button to loosen the belt, I have to squeeze my fingers between the car seat and vehicle seat to get my finger in to push the button. I am able to turn the knob fairly easy though to tighten it. If the know was not there, there would be no way for me to tighten the belts because of not being able to get my finger in to even loosen them. Overall, I feel like the seat isn't too bad, but the fabric quality sure isn't high standards, but that's probably why the seat is so affordable. The fact that it has the Outlast fabric is what sold us on this seat, along with affordability. I do like the knobs to tighten as well. Just takes a bit getting used to the fact that it tightens around the legs and not the shoulders. Once you get the hang of it, it seems good. My daughter hasn't sweat at all in the seat yet, so the Outlast fabric has been living up to what they say. Keep in mind, that my daughter was only in this seat twice so far, so things could change, but within 5 minutes in her Chicco, her back and hair were drenched in sweat! I'm sure once we turn it front facing, the installation troubles will go away as well. So, if you are looking for something affordable and something to help with heat regulation, I would for sure recommend it! Evenflo customer service was excellent with me as well when I called about the threading coming out. They are sending me a new one to replace this one. I just hope that the new one holds up better than this first one. I should also note, that I had to drive an hour to a store to get this one. (I didn't want to order it and end up dissatisfied, so I wanted to see it in person before purchasing.) Both boxes at the store looked as if they were opened, but the seat seemed in great shape, so we purchased it. In the end, this was by far the BEST choice! I was looking for safety, comfort, simple and easy. This car seat has ALL of those qualities. It is easy to install both rear facing and front facing and the strap adjustment is so simple. It even has a feature to hold the buckles, so you are not &quot;fishing&quot; for them underneath the baby/child when buckling the baby/child in. For price comparison, I would consider this very reasonable, especially for the quality. The color scheme is also very nice. We liked this car seat so much that we purchased two of them. As a Grandmother, this was just what I was looking for because it is so simple to install and use plus it is a comfortable and safe seat for the baby/child. The other car seat was purchased for the baby's parents. It makes both installation and removal from the car easy. I do wish there were two sets of the guide pieces so that they could be left in more than one vehicle. I had this seat years ago and i liked that the release was on the knob; the release is now in a recess at the bottom of the seat, so you have to reach between the child's legs to get at it. Not the best part of the design, but not a deal breaker for me. The fabric is a nice neutral and dark enough to hide any accidents, but it seems easy enough to clean. The padding is excellent and should be great for long road trips. I love the thick pillow padding around the head. The most important part is that this seat fits nicely in the backseat of my mid size car. The cupholders are actually useful because of the elastic bands which will allow more cup sizes to fit. I really like this car seat. It gives me the feeling that it will protect my child no matter what.
