You can see the steam and feel the cooling in the room. It definitely makes you feel better and breathe deeper and clearer at night. It especially has helped our daughter who is more prone to sicknesses from school, and has kept her sinuses and throat sounding clear every morning. It definitely gives off a clean, cool, and fresh atmosphere of air and helps us all sleep better. It's big and quiet which is good because it's in my son's room and doesn't keep him from sleeping or anything. I like that it can run over 24 hours on 1 tank so or doesn't feel like I'm constantly refilling and there's no filter to clean or replace. The tank opening itself is bigger so cleaning it is much easier so that's a big plus as I have found cleaning others in the past to be a pain. They have the little accessory pad spot too for those that use them. I was suffering from severe bronchitis, a sinus infection and my previous humidifier had just broke. Then I got this Vicks Filter Free Cool Mist humidifier. Wow! What a difference! Not only does this humidifier put out so much more mist than any humidifier I've owned (I have 3 kids so I've owned a lot), but now I don't have to use those expensive filters. This thing puts out a crazy amount of mist on the high setting, which is perfect to keep moisture in the air throughout my second floor, where all of our bedrooms our. I love that you can move the nozzle to direct where the mist is going. The tank is huge! I like that there isn't just low, medium and high setting. You can change the dial from low, to high, or anywhere in between to change how strong the mist output is. This humidifier is also whisper quiet, even on the highest setting. Another thing I like is that it comes with a door where you can put up to two vapor pads (it also came with a bonus vapor pad). The only thing I don't like about this humidifier is that the light on the dial is a very bright green. When this is in a dark room and facing you, it's extremely bright. This really isn't a huge deal because I can just turn the base around facing the opposite direction. It would, however, be nice to be able to turn the brightness down or even off. Other than that, this is the perfect humidifier for my family. I love it so much that I am planning on getting 3 more: one for each of my kids' room and one for my downstairs. I had been looking for a new humidifier to get through the winter months and boy did this not disappoint. This is a really nice size for my home! I found that it is super easy to use and take care of. I really like that you can add the Vicks vapo pads to these too! You can get the soothing vapors just like you can with their other products! I found that it was really helpful to relieve cold symptoms. I would highly reccomend this product! This is a nice humidifer for a room! I plan on picking up another one for my son's bedroom!
