Although, I've noticed that sometimes she gets frustrated that the cord connecting the stick to the base is too short, so she starts trying to un-attach it, which means she's just waiving the entire toy in the air. -___- Additionally, the keys are pretty small. Even when i try to show her how to do it, sometimes i miss the key and hit the plastic. So for her, it's really hit or miss. Either way, she likes having something to bang on. And in my opinion, the xylophone is better than my phone against the floor</span>

not sure as i shipped it to my grandson in calgary. im sure if you buy a piece of one inch wooden dowel from hardware store it will do the same trick. probably 8 inches long
