This oval shaped potty with pee guard is perfect. He likes it, it's easy to use and clean. Plus is the shape and it's attractive design. From the exterior, the box/tape didn't appear to have been opened before (as in, opened &amp; then returned to the store), so I really believe it came from the factory like this. I think having the arms on it is a great feature and helps him feel more secure sitting on it. I love the ease of how the &quot;pot&quot; just lifts off for easy cleaning and the part for little boys in the front is made onto the &quot;pot&quot;. When my boys were little they would pull that part off because it was detachable. This way they can't do that and decreases the chance of getting urine on the floor. Then I saw this seat and thought it looked way more comfortable and easier to get up and down because of the armrests. Another great feature is that it's height can be adjusted (it only has two levels) my son is almost 2inches taller than his sister so the higher level makes it easier for him to sit. The splash guard should be concave instead of solid which would help direct the flow into the potty. Instead we wound up cleaning up a mess after each use and have to return this potty. We also didn't like that the removable bowl had a potential to pinch his bottom of not seated properly. We figured if the colorful, and sound effect potty was treated more as a toy then a potty, maybe this ones simplistic design and much more sturdy design would be the trick. Well we used it for the first time yesterday, and NO accidents!! She went #1 five times and #2 once yesterday in her Fisher-Price potty and is very comfortable and efficient in it's use. The price was right and he liked the idea of his own big boy toilet with no splash or flush. He was trained in less than 2 days, and now goes on the adult toilet like a pro! The only small cons I have are that its a pain to clean after each use and the seat, while adjustable, could use one extra height setting.
