My daughter is 2 and a half years old, so she is more inclined to play with the piano, which has numerous activities, and it's fantastic for learning new vocabulary, since the kids can repeat the words, it also comes with music that you can dance to and try to replicate on the piano. As I mentioned, my daughter is a bit older, so we are using the toys to play independently. It also comes with a mirror that has been by far my daughter's favorite. One thing that I wasn't a fan of was the assembly. It was a bit more difficult than was expected, we had to use some tools to get it properly settled for play. I would have liked something more ready for assembly without the use of tools or an extra helping hand. I am sure that as he gets bigger and interacts more with the toys and piano on this gym, he's going to love it even more. I have four kids and I've had every type of playmat out there and this one is one of the best and most fun yet! It's very easy to put together and I love that the position of the piano is adjustable by simply twisting so that it can be used when the baby is laying or sitting and the arch can be put in multiple positions as well. The toys are all fun and engaging enough to keep the babies interest and keep them looking around and trying to reach them but the piano is the best. The music and phrases are all fun but not annoying and it's not overly loud like a lot of baby toys tend to be. The different colored lights and cute animals on the piano keys grab the babies attention too and I love that it teaches colors, numbers and shapes. My baby boy absolutely loves the piano part. He is a little pianist already with it. It is a very durable playmat for baby boy and even my toddler will get down and play with baby boy. They love it. When my baby isn't using it, my toddler with take the piano and play it. Its a hit in this household and it will sure be a hit in yours too. I also love all the little accessories that come attached to it too, baby loves them. It was also pretty easy to set up and to put away as well.
