I was very pleased with how well this toy was made. I'd had a similar toy before but had to get rid of it because the Velcro on the back wouldn't fit securely over the battery insert box, not a problem at all with this! I love how soft the fur is on the pup and so does my son. After he's done playing with the different button areas and having fun he likes to cuddle with it and play with the fur. Thankfully the midsection is made with material that's pretty easy to wipe clean if needed because that is the area that seems to get a bit more wear than the others. The only thing i really wish this product had was a bedtime setting. A way to play a couple minutes of lullabies when the little one pressed a button. A five year old boy did not have much interest in it, but a not-quite 3 year old girl loved it for the first few days before moving it into the normal rotation with other toys. I think the intent is to be able to learn some of the colors and words associated with it, which it may work for with some kids, but our daughter mostly just enjoyed the songs and lights, especially in bed at night where they were the brightest. However, she may be 6-8 months past the prime age for learning from this particular toy, since she already knows most of the body parts and colors. The design is really great and has lots of colors while still being tasteful and endearing. Quality, construction, and durability are all really great, and I imagine it will last for as long as we want it and then happily gift to another little one who will get years more out of it. Washing might be a concern, but the few things we have gotten on it have rubbed off with a mildly wet soapy cloth Usability is really good and the squeezable and interactive elements all activate reliably during use, so there is not much frustrating searching and poking to activate features. Batteries are easily accessible and likely wont need to be changed often if ever. Volume is reasonable and level of annoyance for parents is not bad when compared to other singing/musical toys. Overall a really solid if not stellar toy. Not only is he soft and cuddly but he is also a great learning toy for words, colors, and body parts. Another huge parent win is that he is not overly loud! Usually, I hate toys with sound and only allow them if they are a gift, but this one doesn't bother me. Overall, I highly recommend this toy. It is my own and honest review. I love how soft he is, which is an upgrade from the older (which my daughter had). I LOVE how the heart in the middle lights up, my 7 month old son is so drawn to it. The music is very catchy, and makes him dance around to it. When you squeeze the buttons on his ear, paws, and foot, it tells you what body part it is in one level, plays a song in another, and plays fun interactive sounds in the other, then it will turn off. The only thing I don't like about this toy, is the way the buttons feel. I don't like that you can almost feel all of the button mechanisms and wire underneath the material (not that is seems to be a hazard), it almost makes them feel flimsy, like they can be easily broken.
