My older children loved that it records and remixes, but the child in the age group this toy is mwnt for does not understand having to wait for the red light to speak, it just takes too long to turn red and record. I think this needs additional features to hold interest. The push to record feature is not intuitive and our kids were not impressed. When they tried to record, it would cut off too soon or they wouldn't start talking quickly enough. The ability to link with other products seems similar to a previous product series. I like the bar on top that he can move those back and forth. I feel like he plays with that part more. I like that you can record a message. But I don&rsquo;t like that you can&rsquo;t save that message. It only plays the one time and it&rsquo;s gone. It would have been nice if it had the option to keep a recording and keep playing it. There are the typical baby toy rings that love along the top to keep a baby entertained if they just want to movement for motor skills. The next is an alphabet keyboard of buttons that plays names with the coinciding item on the button that is pictured. The coolest feature is the recording playback where you can record something and it speeds it up and plays it to a beat! They think it&rsquo;s hilarious that they can record funny words and sounds and the Yak will play it back in a funny voice. My 13 month old loves playing with the rings and pressing all the letter buttons. My 3 year old loves hearing all the letters of the alphabet and pushing the buttons. It lights up, teaches the alphabet (it even sings it too), it teaches objects when you press a letter (a is for air plane, ect) &amp; tells you what those objects are (a book tells stories, ect). It plays music when you spin the gray knob around &amp; when you press the red button your child can speak into it &amp; it records what they say (in a chipmunk voice lol) &amp; while playing it back to you it makes a music beat like a song with your childs words. The handle at the top has rings you can slide back &amp; fourth.
