A few notes on functionality: Roll the ball, slide the slider, or pull the trigger to activate music. There are numbered buttons as well. My baby loves to roll the roller. It's a challenge for him to get the music going but he's also a few steps behind with fine motor skills. So it's great that this toy challenges him with good feedback and reward for success. He still needs to learn how to activate the others, meaning there's loads of room for the toy to grow with him. I took off a star mainly because of the educational aspect. I find that one of the biggest perks of electronic toys is the ability to have early talkers knowing shapes and numbers. I think that this toy loses a bit of that value by putting both on the same key as they're too small. The shapes aren't so distinctive for a baby to realize that they're there, especially when combined with the numbers. I think that losing the shapes and focusing on numbers, or including fewer shapes/numbers on a wider guitar would have increased the learning value. It is a very high quality, sturdy, well-priced toy. The sound is good, and the music is very appealing for the age range - it's definitely a current favorite that has my baby bopping and dancing with it! As you can see from pictures I could hardly get any pictures of it without her reaching for it and wanting it out of the package. It's an awesome and super adorable learning to count toy, with lights and music to jam to. He LOVES to learn and anything that is musical is right up his alley. Unfortunately this toy doesn&rsquo;t seem to capture his interest at all, I thought it would &ldquo;do&rdquo; more than it does. It feels as though it is a very simple toy. There is a lot of paint overspray on the panda from when it was made. I love the panda bear and thought the guitar would be a huge hit for my daughter who seems interested in musical instruments. My daughter who just turned one was initially interested and played for about five minutes but honestly has not returned to play with this again since we received it. My oldest daughter (almost 3) has shown zero interest, although she is a little old for it. I&rsquo;m not sure if it&rsquo;s just my kids, but they haven&rsquo;t gravitated towards this. I can&rsquo;t say enough about how well this toy is made though! It&rsquo;s sturdy (as all Mattel toys are), fun, colorful and well thought out.
