She was immediately interested in it and it held her attention well. As a parent I loved the multiple sound settings. The medium setting was perfect, loud enough for my daughter to hear but not excessive. I liked that the buttons lit up and there was pleasant music when the shapes wheel was spun. My only complaint was that the background sticker behind the wheel was poorly applied and bubbling up. All of the sounds are soothing. I love that the koala has a built in handle to pick it up. I don't like that the nose looks like a button but does nothing. My son, 18 months, has almost all of the linkimals but the sloth. This has been one of his favorite I believe because of the voice and the counting feature. (He's totally into counting at this time) The cool features on this Koala is the ear is a crinkling ear which he loves, then you have his hand which has a rattling ball in it when it's turned. We wish it would turn on or make the Koala sing but it is merely an accessory. However, if the child does turn or spin the circle of shapes in the treetop that will get a song about shapes, then hitting the numbers on the tree trunk, it will say the number, count that number, and of course if you hit it's belly it'll sing. It keys up nicely with the other linkimals we have and thus far this has kept his interest more so than the others. There are lots of bright, flashing lights which caught my daughters eye right away. But she lot interest pretty quick. Keeping in mind she is only 1.5 yo. She can press a number and the toy will count up to that number. I wish it had a few more interactive songs and sounds. The toy also had a few components that would be more appropriate for a younger baby. He loves to push the different buttons and listen to the counting and fun facts. What's great about this toy is that it's something that he'll play with for several years. Right now he enjoys the music, lights, and colors, but as he get's older, he'll enjoy using it to learn how to count. It's extremely high quality and durable. As with any toy and toddler boy it's already been thrown around multiple times and is holding up extremely well. It also has multiple volume options, a plus for parents. When the Koala showed up for the baby, I expected much of the same. I did not expect my 5 year old to adopt Koala as his own. Both boys enjoy playing with the Koala, sometimes together and sometimes independently. For the baby, the texture of the ear, shapes that move in the tree, and colorful blocks are very engaging. For my 5 year old, he loves sitting there and engaging with the numbers. He will intentionally change the order and pattern he activates the numbers. Overall, the koala links very easily to the other animals. It interacts and engages great with the other toys. The Koala is a wonderful new addition to the linkimals family and not to mention super cute! When the package arrived it caught my little ones attention right away! I literally could not get it out of the box fast enough for him to check out! There are so many activities and learning aspects of this toy. It teaches numbers, counting and shapes. My little was was really engaged in the lights and the music. He loves pushing all the buttons and rolling the little rattle ball. It also has a cute little crinkle ear which babies just love! They also have this cute shape tree that you can spin around too! If you don&rsquo;t own any of the linkimals yet you definitely need to get them for your little ones. Even my 4 year old loves playing with them too! My 20 month old was really drawn to it. The second it came out of the box he took it and started playing with it. I like that when the child pushes a number it will say the number and then count up to that number. The belly lights up with different colors and says the color. It also teaches shapes. As a parent, I love that it has the option to have the noise quieter since it has 2 volume levels. Also it was easy to get out of the box.
