They both enjoyed it a lot. They were able to figure it out quickly. I like that it has many ways to play with the blocks, particularly if an adult or older child/teenager helps them. The locks are different colors, have the color names written on them on one side and numbers on the other. It functions as both a simple shape sorter and a puzzle. The lights and sounds and buttons make it engaging for the kids and offer play suggestions. This polar bear has been a hit in my house for weeks! It promotes matching based on shape, color and numbers. It will ask for a certain shape to be found. The verbal clues are straightforward enough that my 3 year old can figure out what shape the bear wants placed next. He is learning and having a blast doing it. The coordination with the other linkimal toys is great. They all sing along together, and when a shape is placed correctly on the polar bear, the entire chorus of toys cheers for your kid! She has been playing with it quite a bit since we unwrapped the Polar Bear three days ago, and she's also re-engaging with her other Linkimals because of the new addition. I liked that there were different shapes than the Hedgehog that she already owns, and it was really fun to see her interact with the toy and successfully choose the correct shapes based on the prompts. I think the Limkimals concept is so cute overall, and the songs they sing together are great. When my preschooler sings along with the songs, it is the cutest! This is our only Linkimal where the eyes light up; the older ones usually have some other element that lights up. I got it for my almost 3 year old and although he may be on the older range, he is speech delayed and it has been a great help practicing colors, numbers, and shapes! It's a bit smaller than I anticipated but it's very sturdy and good quality. The shapes are a great size too, not too big for small hands to grip but big enough that they aren't just another tiny piece lost in the toybox. They clip in securely as well so if it gets dropped or thrown the pieces don't go flying. I was also surprised by the variety of sounds and that they aren't super repetitive so you aren't hearing the same thing over and over. Is well made and have an adorable design, all the curves and thickness allow the child to hold it and manipulate it easily. The shapes that come with it are bright and colorful, the size make them easy to hold with their small hands. Since we open the packaging it&rsquo;s holding the attention of my daughter and she is really eager to push and put in the pieces according to the hints and instructions of the bear. This toy help her play and reinforce the knowledge of shapes and colors. The push bottom in the center tell aloud the instruction or hint and the eyes of the bear light on with different colors too. The voice of the toy is catchy and vibrant. Even my older daughter is been playing with it. I found myself helping and enjoying to see my daughter play and discover new ways to challenge herself to put back the right piece and start all over again with the same fascination.
