We put the elephant in the porta crib and he cuddles with it. He loves the ears he touches the soft side and puts the textured side in his mouth. The ears are big enough for him to grip. The tag hangs out of the velcro side and he loves chewing on that. He has also put the elephant in his mouth I think he likes the vibration on his gums (due to teething).The size of the elephant is big enough it is easy for him to hold on to. I have used it during late night diaper changes and longer car rides, and even periods of general fussiniess. I thought the vibration feature was a bit strong and might not be enjoyable for any child, however, my 4 month old doesnt seem to be bothered. You can turn off the vibration feature and adjust the volume on the fully removeable sound pack. This makes the toy easily washable! Such a bonus as toys nowadays arent normally easily washed. The toy is very soft and the ears are a different texture. The only improvements would be the ease of changing between modes as the buttons are on the side of the sound pack and not on the back; and maybe having a white noise feature in addition to the music. It seems like it will clean up fairly easily with a damp cloth but I would hesitate to put it in the washing machine. Smaller babies would probably enjoy the sound but it's a little on the heavy side, so perfect for older babies or even toddlers. This item was recommended for children up to three years of age, however my son is 2 1/2 years of age and showed little interest in the elephant. However, I still think it is a great toy. The elephant is soft, and made well. The mechanics that make the elephant vibrate and play music are hidden on the back and secured with a strong Velcro tape for safety. The songs are short and there is a good variety of sounds and songs to entertain a little ones (there are also two different volumes which comes in handy). Although my son did not appear eager to play with it, he did like the vibration. This toy would have been very beneficial for my son at a younger age especially the vibration which seemed to sooth him. Its a good quaility toy but have a few bits that could be better, the material on the body cleans well but could be a bit softer .the material on the ears is much better. I love the size and texture of this elephant. It is very soft with a cute face. The ears are perfect for babies to hold onto and rub. They have smooth satin on one side and texture on the other side. The colors are gender neutral and match other items from Fisher Price with the &ldquo;whimsical forest&rdquo; pattern. I love when I can get matching or coordinating toys and gear. This musical soother has 4 modes: 10 minutes of music only, 5 minutes of vibrations only, 10 minutes of music with 5 minutes of vibrations, and short music or sound effects with vibrations. Press the music note on the belly to start playing music or vibrations. Press it again to change to the next song if on music mode. Press and hold it for a few seconds to turn it off. I prefer the music only mode for right now for my 5 month old son. I turn it on for naps and bedtime so that my baby can listen to it while he drifts off to sleep. I think he will really enjoy the short music/sound effects with vibrations when he starts to play more. The music is very melodic. It sounds like a mixture of harp and piano (maybe others). Some of the songs I recognize include Rock-a-Bye Baby, London Bridge Is Falling Down, and A-Tisket A-Tasket. Many of the other songs are familiar or classical, but they all sound sweet and relaxing for a baby. There are 2 volume settings. Unfortunately at times, the high volume sounds like it is blaring, like the speaker is going to break. Luckily, the low volume is perfect anyhow. I also love that this soother is machine washable if you remove the music player. It&rsquo;s just a matter of time before this gets spit up or slobber on it. I haven&rsquo;t washed it yet, but I&rsquo;m sure it will turn out great afterwards, like my other washable Fisher Price items. Overall, this is a great musical soother for my son. It is the perfect, soft size for a baby to grab and hold onto. The Calming Vibes Elephant Soother is great because she can turn it on and lay quietly listening to the music while trying to go back to sleep. I like that you have the ability to change the modes and volume. You have choices between: music only, vibration only, both music &amp; vibration, high or low volume and long or short play. The music selection is nice because it has some songs that our other toys do not have. It is soft and has a cute printed fabric on the ears. I was lucky enough to play with my granddaughter, she went straight for the colorful ears and the fabric material and the crinkle sound was a delight to her as it went straight into her mouth, lol&hellip;. She also loved the different sounds like the crickets, I loved the sweetest lullaby music and the nice soothing vibrations feature, I was able to rock her while holding the lil elephant on her back and sang some of the nursery rhymes. We were also able to play on our tummy and get tummy time with Gigi. Set the music timer for 10 minutes and played with Baby, she was able to pull Elephant by the ears, lil legs and arms. She used the body to rest when tired almost as a pillow, great design in that it is firm-hard and not too comfortable for long rest periods when working on tummy time. Another feature I like is the different modes that are available with the music and soothing vibrations. The Elephant Design is adorable, the material is nice and soft, the colors are not too obnoxiously bright and is neutral enough to fit any nursery style. The body fabric is soft to the touch and the ears are so silky. I wasn&rsquo;t really sure about the vibration+music mode at first (I thought it might be too much), but it is actually really calming.
