It lasts much longer than the ones you receive while recovering in the hospital and they are about 2 inches longer in both width and length. They helped me with post part in inflammation and certainly with recovery in general. I also used them on my neck as a nice distraction afterwards. They aren't very comfortable to sit on and when you get up to walk around they are heavy. They also weigh too much to pack in your hospital bag and also take up quite a bit of room in your bag too, so I would opt for a different brand if you are planning on taking any to the hospital with you for delivery. They aren't the most absorbent pads either, so I would recommend wearing these at home inside an adult diaper or something to catch the extra flow. They only stay cool for 20-30 mins, compared to other brands and homemade padsicles. You get 8 individual wrapped pads. They are absorbent but also provide cooling. To me the cooling wasn't too strong but it did help some. The pad is not super absorbent and they are thick. So it isn't the most comfortable and they are kind of heavy. So overall this really wasn't a favorite of mine. They did provide some relief. I had a second degree tear and stitches and I was just overall miserable. These pads are huge but they were perfect for me since I just stayed home, it absorbed all the blood and left me nice and cool down there. I gradually stopped bleeding to where I could downgrade to smaller pads, however I still used these when I would feel any throbbing or pain, the cooling sensation would help. The only thing I would recommend is to not wear it for so long. Sometimes I would wear it after the cooling sensation wore off and I just felt squishy and gross. Giving birth can take quite a toll on a body. A cold ice pack is the greatest thing ever postpartum. Frida pads even have the added benefit of being absorbent. With my first child the hospital gave me latex gloves filled with ice. They were an absolute mess as there was no absorbency, the gloves would get wet once the ice began to melt and it was uncomfortably cold with ice immediately on the skin. The Frida pads have changed everything. They adhere directly to your underwear, are absorbent, soft against irritated skin, long enough to cover front to back, don&rsquo;t get wet and last a really long time. Helps the swelling and irritation immediately. Very easy to use. A bargain for the relief they bring! Pack them in your hospital bag.
