Love that they have interchangeable features and could be used with different nook bottles. Too tall, too short, no handles, hard spout...every cup we tried ended up on the floor, and eventually in the garbage. It was frustrating for baby and for us. And then I came across these gems - the NUK Learning Cups!! In my opinion, these must be designed by people who actually have babies or at the very least understand developmentally what is helpful for the transition from bottle to cup. Our baby girl LOVES her Minnie cup and took to it on the 1st try!! The handles are perfect size and shape for her tiny hands and the spout is the right blend of shape and firmness. They are also VERY easy to clean unlike some of the other cups on the market. My daughter had soft palate repair surgery and had to relearn how to suck. This cup was soft on gums and palate and was super easy for her to sip water out of while remaining leak proof. She loves that the hadles are upside down to other cups and I love that they are removable. Super easy to wash too! I'm so happy to have found a cup for my little girl to use after her survey! She doesn't quite get the handles, if she's holding onto both it looks like she's driving a car the way she turn it back and forth. But she can drink out of it no problem. I introduced it right before she turned 6 months old and she had no problem figuring it out. We only use NUK bottles with the orthodontic nipples and it's really nice that I can use our other bottles and put this top on it. Our bottle had fallen out of the diaper bag. I tried purchasing a regular bottle but the small store I was at was out of bottles. They had learner cups but no bottles. I purchased the NUK learner cup as it had a soft mouth piece. My son has a weak stomach valve and has to have rice cereal put in his bottle. I was amazed how well he took to the learner cup at four months old. We purchased several more learner cups. I have begun to feed him from the learner cups starting thickened milk , then thinning the contents out. He at seven months does very well drinking milk from the learner cup. The cup handles are removable and go great on his bottles as well. I am very happy with NUK products. My Mom suggested NUK, and I received a few things during my baby shower. I did not realize there was any difference until I started using the pacifiers, bottles, then learner cups. It did not take long to see NUK is a better product. The learner cup does not drip. The learner mouth piece is soft, and I don't have to worry about him falling with it. Odd thing my son agrees about NUK being the best. We also have Mickey Mouse as shown in the picture. I like that the handles can be taken off and that makes it seem more like a bottle when he transitioned. The silicone nipple is GREAT when making the switch from bottle to cup!
