There are so many great features. I especially appreciate that it can run off either battery or electric power. I hate burning through batteries, but when the power went out, I was so grateful to have the option. I also love the range of movement speeds and sounds available. It makes it easy to customize the swing to exactly what she needs in that moment. I also really like the ability to adjust the seat between a seat and a swing. Although the seat does not go completely flat, and due to both that and the soft cushion it does not meet requirements for safe unsupervised sleep, she does seem to be in a safer position when she is on the lower setting, so I appreciate that. If I'm not careful the clamp to adjust the seat setting can be a bit loud, however. A couple of other minor cons: the swing is heavy and bulky - not at all easy to move. Also I wish the mobile at the top actually had the option to spin. My daughter does like looking at it though. I like the option to sit my babe up, it just takes a little more push to lock it in to the seated position. I had no issue laying it down though. I love that this has a cord for wall plug-in! (My first baby, I used a battery operated swing, so this feature is awesome!) The pattern is so cute! This swing would fit in with lots of different style households. When I first opened the Graco DuoGlider Gliding Swing, I was nervous about putting it together. But it was so easy. The instructions were very helpful and effortless to understand. The color and style of the swing worked perfectly with our home decor. Whether you are welcoming a girl or boy, the color scheme of the &ldquo;Rascal&rdquo; color compliments the gender neutral style. My daughter is roughly 10lbs and 6 weeks old when we received it. She had plenty of room to still use it. It&rsquo;s become a staple in our house and I feel confident knowing I can put her in it and know she is secure. The mess lining on the sides is nice because it protects her but also makes it breathable. The best thing about this swing is that it has so many customizable features. As we all know, each baby is different. And what works for some, may not work for others. But in this case, you can truly find what works for your baby by trying out the different options. The different sounds and melodies can be altered with the buttons on the side. And you can put on the vibrations to calm your little one. Another feature I like is the &ldquo;timer mode&rdquo;. To extend the battery life or to stop the swing once your baby has calmed down, it&rsquo;s a nice bonus. I think the biggest thing to note is the size of the swing. It is quite large compared to the other swing we have. As the legs do take up some room. That&rsquo;s really the only downfall if you are looking for something that doesn&rsquo;t take up much space. But I believe that&rsquo;s all regarding preference for where you will keep it. It works well in our home, which is why I gave it the 5 stars. It has a recline feature that was simple to use, the many levels of gliding swing motion were great depending on the mood my little one was in and the mobile feature caught his attention right away and entertained him for a while. I don&rsquo;t use the sound feature that often as my baby doesn&rsquo;t seem to like it all that much. My little one prefers the Graco DuoGlider Gliding Swing, Rascal much more than any of the other swings we have. In addition, I was impressed that considering how much it does the footprint isn&rsquo;t that big. I wouldn&rsquo;t say it is small, but for me it was well worth the space it takes up in my home. My only complaint is that the recline feature is a bit noisy. So when my son fell asleep in the upright position and I wanted to lay him flat it was noisy enough to startle him awake. If you have the swing more toward the wall as we do it is difficult to change the setting with a sleeping baby. I was hoping it was just stiff due to being new and would eventually be a little easier to use, but unfortunately that hasn&rsquo;t happened yet especially not to do while baby is sleeping without waking baby up. I do wish the mobile was movable to where you can turn it off to the side and out of the way while buckling baby in and then just turn it right back around in front of baby. She is now almost 10 weeks old. It was easy to assemble out of the box, no complicated instructions. Once it was fully assembled I was shocked at how large it is. If you are looking for something that can easily be moved from room to room to keep baby close this is not the product you are looking for. I love all the features! Starting with the fact you can plug the glider into a wall outlet and not burn batteries but you still have that option. The 6 different speeds are fantastic. The timer is a must but I don&rsquo;t always set it. The classical tunes they chose for the music options are great. They aren&rsquo;t annoying or in a tone that grates your nerves. And if music isn&rsquo;t your thing there are 5 different noise machine options. The only negative thing I can say about the sound is the volume! Even on the lowest volume setting they are still loud enough to drown out a monster truck rally. The bassinet/seat is incredibly easy to switch between the three different positions with just pulling on the lever and moving it up and down. However it doesn&rsquo;t change positions as smoothly as I would like. When I pull on the adjustment lever there is a popping/ clunking sound that happens and once released makes a subsequent louder clunking sound. Not good for trying to lay a sleeping baby into a flatter position without disturbing them. The seat also has two setting vibrations. The downside is this does require its own battery and can&rsquo;t be operated by the outlet plug. Plus side it&rsquo;s a single D cell battery. The seat pad is easily removable for washing and essential because let&rsquo;s face it, spit happens! I wish all products had a cover that was easily washable. I wish the padding was thicker. The placement of the restraining system is perfect. I like the little woodland creatures making it a perfect gender neutral theme. The little bunnies hanging from the mobile are so sweet. However the mobile doesn&rsquo;t spin. So it&rsquo;s a little pointless. But my daughter seems to like looking at it as they sway with the movement of the glider. It easily rotates out of the way to lay baby in the bassinet. And can be easily removed completely if you don&rsquo;t want to use it. Overall I really like this glider. The movement is a smooth back and forth like my glider rocking chair instead of like a traditional swing. It lays almost completely flat so it can be used with small babies. Grows with baby so lasts much longer than a traditional bassinet and has added features. This has replaced my bassinet and swing. Even though it is big and doesn&rsquo;t fold up out of the way when not in use it&rsquo;s a fair trade for needing less items. have had some issues with the electrical parts of the swing. Occasionally when I want to change between songs and nature sounds when I press the button the whole swing will shut off. Or if I turn off the the sounds but still want the swing to stay on the whole swing shuts off and have to turn it on again. As well as something funny going on with the timer button. I&rsquo;ll set the timer. The lights will flash to let me know I selected 30 minutes but the swing will stop swinging and the lights stay on. I have mixed feelings about this graco duoglider swing. First of all, it is not a typical swing. I would definitely consider it a glider. If you are looking for something that will give you a side to side swing motiong, this will not work for you. It has six speeds which we appreciate, but the highest setting is INTENSE with a baby inside of the swing. I set it up myself, and it was a bit tricky. I had to redo a few parts because the directions were a little difficult to understand. The pictures could be bigger and more descriptive. It took me about an hour to put together. Again, it wasn't horrible to put together, but not the easiest either. My favorite feature of this swing is how it reclines. We used to use another product for my first baby because she had horrible reflux, but that item has since been recalled.I appreciate that I can use this fully reclined or place my baby more upright if she needs it. It is super easy to change this setting, which I also appreciate! Some things that bummed me out- the vibration setting can only be used with batteries. Secondly, I wish the music/sounds were louder. They are plenty loud if your home is completely quiet, but I would have loved to have had this option instead of a sound machine for when I am running the vacuum or my older child is playing. The sound also sounds a bit distorted. Overall, I would give this a 5/10. My only complaint (the reason for the four stars and not the five) about this glider is it&rsquo;s a bit big. The way that the legs are on it, make it look like a caterpillar. I can&rsquo;t stop thinking that about it. My almost 2 month old really likes it too. She isn&rsquo;t really a fan of just sitting around, she likes to move. So it&rsquo;s a nice break for my arms when I can put her down in this and set it on the second speed and she can just glide for a bit! For one, it's something my baby actually likes! I purchased a very expensive rocker that had rave reviews, but slowly realized my baby didn't like all the motion options and simply just needed something that mimicked my rocking motion/something that just went back and forth, nothing extra. This was the perfect option as he falls asleep instantly when fully reclined and is wide awake and alert when sitting up so I'm able to keep an eye on him, but most importantly, get work done around the house! I really like the one hand recline as I am able to slowly put him down without waking him if he does fall asleep in the upright position. We have found our sweet spot at the number 3 speed, but it does go up to 6. I have not personally used the music option as I have a very loud toddler who i'm certain will over power any tunes but I did cycle through it once and did enjoy the different tunes it plays. The *only* thing I can say is to keep in mind that if you live in a small apartment like I do, the swing is rather large. I had to move my desk into my bedroom to make space, but we are a family of four living in 900 square feet so we're used to making large objects work in our tiny space. Aside from that I cannot rave about this enough. He likes to be rocked in a rocking chair, and the motion of this swing glider mimics that more closely than a regular swing (giving us a break!). We like the variety of settings; we start it out rocking on a higher level and once he falls asleep, turn it down. We also find the white noise setting helpful. to drown out our toddler running around the house. Although I like the idea of the adjustable seat position since the baby shouldn't be inclined for naps, if you try to move it while the baby is sleeping it often startles him awake since it's quite loud when squeezing the handle.
