<span itemprop="description">Reading reviews from 4 years ago and you would think that Graco would have fixed this issue. We purchased our seat around May 2021.
Without our daughter in the seat the harness tightens down smoothly, but as soon as we put our daughter in the seat it is almost impossible to cinch down the harness. I have stripped the cover off and operated it and I can not see anywhere or why it would bind when tightening. I would tell everyone to not buy this seat due to this issue. Trying to get the seat anchored down is another issue and complaint. I suggest going to a retailer that will allow you to place your child in a seat to see and feel the functionality. I would really appreciate a Graco representative to contact us and let us know what we are doing wrong. My child's safety is a higher priority than your profit.</span>

I love that I was able to turn it from rear facing for my 6 month old to forward facing for my 6 year old nephew when needed. My child has been comfortable in it until recently, we have switched her forward facing and now she has been getting bruises on her back from sitting in the seat!!! I was fine with the straps being difficult to tighten when rear facing, because I could just grab them from the back of the seat and pull…I assumed it would be easier when forward facing…big nope! Also, the spire color is a pain in the rear to keep clean when following the manual in regards to cleaning it!!
Do I give Graco another chance on a harnessed booster or spend the extra money and get a different brand?</span>

<span itemprop="description">Its ok for how cheap it is. The button to push to loosen the straps is so far buried inside the seat that I have a hard time undoing it and my mom can't find it at all. Also to tighten the straps you have to pull them from the back of the seat. This is inconvenient but possible while rear facing. I have not idea how this is supposed to work when we switch to forward facing. If I had the money at the time I would have gone with a more expensive seat that had better reviews.</span>

He needed something that was super padded and felt comfortable driving our son around in after his car accident in 2019. So far we love this seat. <span itemprop="description">I purchased this Extend2Fit several months ago and have installed it a few times in my Ford Escape (mid-size SUV). It is a PAIN to install! Granted, I'm a short and not so fit woman, but still! It fits pretty well in my SUV in the rear facing mode. The passenger's seat can't recline super far, but it's still enough space up front for a full grown man.
Strapping the baby in is quite a chore. I had to show my husband and MIL multiple times before they could do it themselves.
However; my little girl seems to be very comfortable in this seat! She tolerated a 6 hour drive to Florida really well, and loves to nap in the seat.
I bought a Safety 1st Grow and Go as a backup carseat for my MIL a couple months ago, and I must say, I like that one even better than this one! It's just as difficult to install, but it's easier to strap the baby in, and it is just as comfortable.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this car seat a year ago. When my daughter was rear facing it was great. As soon as I put her forward facing I struggle to tighten it. Also she is only 2 and 7 months, she not that big but tall. The straps I feel are way to tight when I go to put her in. Like most toddlers she struggles with me to get into her car seat. I loosen it all the way but I really have to bend her arm to get her in. Then when I finally do get her in I can’t tighten it in her chest area enough for it to be safe. My pediatrician said you want enough space for two fingers. I can fit my full hand under and I can’t get it tighter without really struggling. This car seat is not worth the price I paid for it. My dad bought one for his car and it so much better to loosen and tighten. I’ll be switching once I have the money. I live pay check to paycheck so unfortunately I have to wait. Don’t get this car seat!!</span>

<span itemprop="description">We have this car seat for a little over a year, and I have not liked it since we started using it. Its almost impossible to tighten the straps to where the child is secure. I have to pull the straps from the back and then pull tightening strap to make it tight. My husband has the sequence 65 car seat and does not have any issues with tightening. I have read other reviews that state the same problem. Not sure if this is a defect or just an how this car seat is.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have used this as rear facing without issues for a few years now. Time to switch it to face forward and I can't get it tight. I have even got husband in my car and tried to tighten it and it's impossible to get it as tight as it needs to be to stay safe. I came here to the website to see if we were doing something wrong. . . nope many people have this issue. I splurged on this seat because of the 10 years of use and Graco is supposed to be the best when it comes to quality and cost efficiency. but you can not tell me this was made by a parent or with parents in mind. I'm now looking for a new car seat with a different brand.</span>
