I had to make this same decision last year and opted for a model that had an additional removable and useful piece for on the go. I recently received the new Day2Dream as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I wish this was happening a year ago because THIS is the way to go! To be honest, the bottom part of the Graco pack 'n Play's are staples. You know you are getting a quality, easy to assembly piece that is great to take along to grandparents, on a road trip or just another room in the house. The new bassinet feature is the star of this model. It is a sturdy and safe space that you could use all throughout the day at home or on the go. The 3 sleeping levels make it adaptable to so many situations. Whether you are on the lowest level while on the floor with other kiddies, putting it in the pack and play or on the highest level along your bedside, it is always useful. It is easy to remove and adjust. I do wish the bar over the top did have the option to retract it back but it does create more stability while overhead. Even though my baby has outgrown the bassinet phase, those first months of having a safe sleeping space is the most important tool you need. And now we have it available for any little visitors we have over, because having one less thing to bring over as new parents is always a relief. As my frantic dancing Lulls her to sleep I don&rsquo;t have to worry the portable bassinet is super stable and easy to adjust the height to our liking. My favorite part has to be the build quality. The height adjustment latches are smooth and strong, the base is heavy enough to stay on the ground when raising the level of the bassinet, and the playard has a center support just in case a big sister feeling left out tries to join the baby for play time. We have been using the playard portion in our common space/ playroom&nbsp;so that the baby has a safe, protected place to play while other family members (read: toddler) are zooming around the room. It is simple to set up and great for having an extra changing&nbsp;table close by, especially when you're in a 2-kids-1-parent situation. The&nbsp;adjustable height on the portable bassinet is by far my favorite feature of this playard. On the lowest setting, the bassinet works great next to our bed at night (we have one of those low-to-the-ground platform beds), or I raise it up to the middle height for next to the couch or highest in the kitchen. The bassinet is a little, tiny bit bulky to be lugging around from place to place all day, but not bad at all to move once or twice as you go about your day. I basically move it so that I can set the baby down and still have her close by while I work,&nbsp;cook in the kitchen, etc. I didn't take the bassinet in and out of the playard too much, since I kind of had them set up in different areas, but it's easy enough to do.&nbsp; You do need two hands to adjust the height (can't do it with baby in one hand), but it's really a smooth and easy adjustment. I was worried that on the high setting the portable bassinet would feel a little unstable/ tippy but it is super secure. The nice wide base makes it really stable and I didn't worry, even with a toddler running around, that it would fall over. As with many bassinets, this one isn't super long. Our little outgrew the portable bassinet fairly quickly and I didn't feel comfortable having her sleep in it after the first couple of months (for reference she was 25 inches at 2 months). Even as she grew though she was still happy in there when she was awake as a place to lie on her back, grab her feet, or play with a toy.&nbsp; Overall, this is a great playard and the portable bassinet is a huge bonus. The adjustable height makes it so versatile for keeping baby close by wherever you are. One of my favorite parts is the portable bassinet. I love that you can use it in various positions as your baby grows. We have used it in all 3 positions, though we did not personally use it sitting inside/on top of the playyard. We mostly used it while we were hanging around other parts of the house besides the bedroom. It was so nice to know my little guy was in a safe, enclosed space while I was getting some stuff done around the house. I also love that the portable bassinet has mesh paneling so you can keep a close eye on your babe even from across the room. My other favorite part about this playyard is the parent organizer that clips onto the side. It's so nice to have everything within arms reach while changing your little one! This is something the other pack 'n plays I have used didn't have, and I always wish they did! Here are my personal pros and cons of the Graco Pack 'n Play Day2Dream Bassinet Playyard: Pros: -Easy to assemble. I did this on my own within about 15 minutes or so. -Cute, gender neutral design -Fairly easy to transport the playyard from room to room if needed. It does have wheels that help with transporting it. -My little guy was a bit too big to use the changing area, but it was very easy to click on and off of the Playyard, and seemed sturdy. -LOVE the portable bassinet! We have used it within all rooms of our house. -Having everything within arms reach in the parent organizer while changing my little one in the Playyard is a game changer! I will never use another pack 'n play without an organizer attached again! Cons: I wish the compartments on the parent organizer were deeper. They are perfectly sized for diapers and small tubes/tubs of ointment, but some taller tubes of lotion tipped over and would occasionally fall out of the organizer because the compartments are a bit too shallow. Overall, I would give this playyard 4.5 stars, with the &frac12; star taken away because of the slightly too-shallow compartments in the parent organizer. Other than that, I have no other complaints and definitely recommend this to other parents looking for their perfect playyard! I love how a few clicks makes the playpen area secure and safe for Ashley our baby girl. The mesh lining is super soft and breathable. The stand that comes with the bassinet is perfect for keeping Ashley close by me during the night. It has a sturdy stand that I feel is strong enough to hold our baby. This bassinet will last a long time for us. She is only 6.9 pounds and it will be suitable for her until she is 20 pounds. The changing table is soft and strong. I love how much room is on the changing table that gives me enough space to change our baby and also get her dressed. The cover for the bassinet is wonderful to help keep the light out of her eyes and also let it a bit of UV rays as she sits by the window. With many areas for storage and locking legs, this is truly the most innovative pack and play ever to hit the stores. I really appreciate some of the features in this model. Setting the pack and play up is super fast and can be done in under a minute. It also has velcro straps and a bag for travel which was great when we took it to my in-laws. Assembling the accessories was also fairly easy. I really like that the matress is padded for my daughter.. The fabric on this model seems almost dry wicking on the matress so my daughters milk beaded up on it for me to quickly wipe it off. The bassinet seems great and I will definitely be using with our next baby. My daughter is 1yr and too active for us to be able to use it now. The whole unit is definitely built to last and solid which is important to me with baby gear. Overall I think you can't beat the value. For my previous children, I had used a wooden bassinet that took up a good chunk of space and the play yard I had to put in the living room due to the bassinet being in my room. For my baby, I was able to replace the bulky bassinet for this awesome 2 in one combo. I am able to have my baby sleep in the bassinet that I&rsquo;m using in the play yard. During the day, I also change my baby there on the changing table. It&rsquo;s so easy to switch off between the 2 setups. Also during the day, I roll out the playard out of my room into the living room or dining room depending on where I will be stationed at during household chores. It&rsquo;s so convenient to have for this very reason. I will be going on vacation in the upcoming summer so I definitely will be taking it along for the trip. It folds and unfolds easily. We used our previous pack n play next to our bed instead of a bassinet. I like that this one actually comes with a bassinet insert that's made for that! By the time I got this my littlest was already 7 months old and, being big for her age, was a bit too big for the bassinet insert. I think we definitely would have used it for night and naps if we had owned this when she was younger because the bassinet part seems cozy. When we first got this I didn't think I would use the changing pad much but I was wrong! We had the pack 'n play set up near the kitchen for a while and I used it many times during meals to keep from having to go all the way to the other part of the house. I also love that it's super easy to snap the changing pad insert in and out, for times when I want my little one to have more room to roll around and play in the pack 'n play. I enjoyed having the clip on baskets that can hold a pack of wipes and a few diapers so that you've got everything you need right there. My only concern about this pack 'n play is that if you use the bassinet insert by itself (without putting it into the pack 'n play) it doesn't quite come up high enough on the highest setting to reach it comfortably from bed (see photo) Overall though, that's a minor detail and not something that would prevent me from purchasing it again. My first reaction while unpacking the pack n play is that it looks like it was built well with good materials. The frames on the pack n play and bassinet are sturdy and strong. I like that the bottom of the pack n play snaps into the legs of the frame to make the bottom nice and tight. The bassinet has three different height settings and it sits in the pack n play very well. The portable bassinet is not too heavy to lift and can be used as a portable bed around the house. I have been using it next to the couch while folding clothes and in the kitchen when cleaning or getting food ready. The high walls make it extra safe and give me peace of mind so I don&rsquo;t need to constantly watch him as he sleeps. Since it has a decent sun shade attached, it looks like a great item to use outside on a picnic when it is warmer. The portable bassinet is easily my favorite part of the pack n play. While it comes with a changing station, there isn&rsquo;t much to it. It doesn&rsquo;t seem as solid as the rest of the pack n play. It was a little difficult putting the frame of the changing pad together as there wasn&rsquo;t much room in the fabric to maneuver the poles around. I am also not a fan of the pattern scheme or the pale green. It just looks a little dull when paired with the grey. The portable bassinet is hard to disassemble, so I rarely take it with me when I travel as it is too bulky in the car while it&rsquo;s put together. Overall the pack n play is a great product. Even though my child is older now and sleeps at night in his crib, this would have been useful as a spare crib/changing station in my bedroom next to my bed when he was a newborn. For now, aside from using the bassinet here and there, I use the pack n play as a travel bed when visiting family and as a play pen. It is very easy to transport the main part of the pack n play around in its carrier. The product as a whole wasn&rsquo;t entirely too hard to put together; easily done with one person. However, the bassinet was a bit tricky and required so extra strength to snap the two half-rings together. The quality of the pack n play was very sturdy and the pattern was very cute. The pad insert is soft enough to cushion my 6 month old rolling around while firm enough for her to get herself out of sticky situations (ie. arm stuck under her body from rolling back to tummy). The changing pad felt secure when attatched to the pack n play, even when my baby was on it. I, however, wish it had had a deeper pocket to set the baby in to feel that they were more secure in it; maybe even add clips that other changers have. I was only able to use the bassinet for a couple of weeks before my (now 20 lb.) baby outgrew it. During that time, we used it as a sleeper in our living room, hangout spot in our garage and outside on warm days. We loved the added shade the bassinet provided and how easy you could change the heights on it: I wish we could&rsquo;ve used it for longer! The net was used as a safety net incase our mobile daughter tried to roll during a diaper change (peace of mind mostly, we never walked away from her while she was on the changing pad) and the addition of the compartment clip next to the changer to house diapers, wipes, etc. was incredibly helpful when we had our daughter in the living room and didn&rsquo;t want to take her to her bedroom to change her! But what he really loves was the changing pad and the removable bassinet. Oddly, the changing pad measures up to the pricier changing pads in regards to comfort. The changing pad holds body heat nicely and quickly so he doesn&rsquo;t suffer from that instant cold shock against his back. And it keeps his back warm so he stays comfortable for the entire diaper change. This eliminates the need for changing pad covers making it so simple to clean which is another plus. He normally gets fussy when we lay him down on other surfaces but on this changing pad he&rsquo;s always so content (which really says something about the comfort and quality). The other feature we love is the adjustable removable bassinet. We also have the older pack n play which features the SPF cover but thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this playard, I was able to compare both and found out that this adjustable bassinet was a feature I never knew I needed in my life. It&rsquo;s a game changer. Every parent knows the challenge in putting a sleeping baby down from their arms into a bassinet. But it&rsquo;s close to impossible when it&rsquo;s on the floor. We use the adjustable bassinet the most in the living room beside us when we&rsquo;re sitting on the couch. It&rsquo;s so reassuring to have a portable safe sleep space for baby at level wherever we are. And makes an easy transition from arm sleeping to transferring to bassinet. And if he&rsquo;s sound asleep in the bassinet, we just lower it down and carry it upstairs with us to the bedroom without ever having to wake him up. It&rsquo;s portability allows us to use it both indoors and outdoors; indoor areas like in the kitchen, to the living room, to outdoor areas like parks, picnics, beaches, etc. The adjustable height is especially helpful outdoors because it keeps baby off the ground and away from sand, dirt, and crawling bugs. While also keeping baby perfectly leveled at each of our different individual preferences so no one has to strain their backs or get into uncomfortable positions when caring for baby. But it also really helps because you can adjust the height to be leveled to you, you don&rsquo;t need to take up space on a table or chair anymore. You can just set the adjustable height bassinet right beside you. Overall, I&rsquo;m so glad I got this system. Other than that, set up was a breeze. What I didn&rsquo;t expect was that this would end up staying set up in our living room, because the changing station became so convenient to use instead of constantly running to the baby&rsquo;s room whenever I needed to do a diaper change. We have two big dogs, so whenever I need to put the baby down, I am very glad to have the pack and play handy to put him in. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the dogs won&rsquo;t accidentally step on him when I need to run to the bathroom or grab something from the kitchen. It would also not be easy to transport the bassinet for travel since it does not break down into the bag. But in my opinion you wouldn't need to take the bassinet anywhere because your baby could sleep in the elevated portion of the pack 'n play! This product stands out because not only is it a standard pack 'n play, it also comes with a wipeable (yes wipeable) changing table and the most amazing super portable bassinet (my favorite part). This bassinet quickly replaced my bulky much more expensive bassinet because of the compact design, quick portability factor as well as the easily adjustable heights. Now, I can effortlessly take my baby anywhere in the house where he can play or sleep safely within arms reach. Not only that, but the bassinet sits securely in the pack 'n play at night. On the medium height setting, you can view your baby through the mesh sides. This means I do not have to move a muscle from my bed to get a complete view of my peacefully sleeping babe. This is CRITICAL for my light sleeping baby, who would wake up any time I moved around in bed to check on him. During the day, I feel like I'm getting so much more accomplished because I can take my little one right with me in this nifty little gadget. I am even able to shower regularly again with my baby laying in the bassinet right in the bathroom with me. The only con I can see is that the baby will outgrow the changing table and bassinet sooner than I'd like. My little guy is a big baby at 25.5 inches and he just fits. I'd say by the time he's around 26-27 inches, we'll no longer be able to use those features. The pack 'n play however is standard size and works great even for my oldest. It has a nice cushy pad to keep them both comfy when we use it for travel. It's also on high quality wheels, so it can easily move around the room as needed. I really love the design of this pack 'n play. The removable bassinet and changing pad look so helpful, but unfortunately by the time we received this product, our son was too big for both! Our son is in the 99th percentile for height and weight so he has outgrown his baby swing and even looks large in his crib! The bassinet looks comfortable and I like the fact that it can also be freestanding. I also like the mesh sides and the ability to see the baby inside the bassinet. I like that the changing pad attaches to the top of the pack 'n play which would make it easier for taller people to change a baby's diaper. Perhaps we will get to use those features with our next child. :) All the materials look very easy to clean and wipe down which is super important to me. The storage organizer is also very helpful at having diapers/wipes easily accessible during a diaper change. Neither our older daughter or our son have really enjoyed playing in a pack 'n play. They are both very sociable and don't like being confined. Our main use for this pack 'n play has been for diaper/wipe storage! I feel like I would have given this pack 'n play more stars if I had been able to take advantage of the removable bassinet and changing pad feature.
