When it's open, it's sturdy and holds my son very well. The tray is large, which is great for my son's large appetite. I love that is has a depression in the tray for a cup. It encourages my son to keep it on the tray and not throw it. :) Overall, I am super impressed with the quality of this chair. Like I said, I love how easy it is to collapse and store away. All opinions remain 100% my own. This is not my first Graco high chair. We currently have another one, just a different model. I've come to trust Graco over the last 10 years with 3 of my kids. I've had a travel system, swing, play yard and high chair. It is the first brand that I turn to as it has affordable products that are quality made. This high chair was so simple to assemble and only has 3 parts out of the box. I had it put together in literally 2 minutes. The Slim Snacker is great for people who might not have a ton of space and need to store the high chair in between meals. The chair folds easily with one hand and the fold is really smooth. The design is classic and one that would look nice in any dining room. The fabric easily wipes down and the chair is sturdy. I like that it has a 3 position recline, it makes it easy to use with smaller babies as well as toddlers. The cup holder on the tray is an added plus. My daughter doesn't have one of those on her other high chair and her sippy cup is constantly on the floor. She liked having the cup holder and it actually stayed on her tray for most of the meal. The tray locks into place, but you do have to use both hands to pull it off the chair. I have another chair that has a one hand release on the tray so I've grown accustomed to that and I like having a one hand release. The 5 point harness is awesome and keeps your child secure. There is a basket underneath and I'm not sure I really like this a lot about the product. It seems like it could easily get dirty by food that is thrown off the tray. I guess you could store bibs or toys in it, but I didn't find that it was really a necessary feature. It definitely was not a deal breaker though. This is a high chair I would recommend to any expecting mom. It is affordable, fashionable and well made. I'm a mom of three and I've been through a lot of baby gear, highchairs included. Hands down my favorite thing about the Slim Snacker is after it's job is done. It's easy to clean, easy to fold (pretty much one handed even if you're kid wrangling, which I usually am) and it doesn't take up a lot of space. Since MOST Seattle kitchens are short on storage space, that's a big deal in my book. Just make sure you give it a wipe down BEFORE you do that fancy one hand fold or today's lunch leftovers might end up on the floor. Other great features to keep in mind is you probably won't need another high chair as this has 3 reclines and will hold a child up to 40 pounds. I'm not quite there yet with #3 but I think that's a great feature.
